Celebrating 20 years, Billingshurst & District Lions Club’s Charity Bookshop in Jengers Mead has an updated sign together with new web address (billingshurstlions.org) where you can find all the latest club information, and also on Facebook.

Inside the bookshop, jigsaws, DVDs and Paperback books are still priced at £1 each, Hardbacks £1.50 each and Children’s books five for £1. Recent donations have included some exceptional volumes and these are available at slightly increased prices, but still representing excellent value for money. Payment can be made by cash or card.
The Bookshop is now open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 9.30am until 3.30pm.
Another Sign of the Times December is the time to look out for Santa and his Elves touring Billingshurst, Barns Green, Loxwood, Rudgwick, Slinfold and Wisborough Green from Friday 3rd until Saturday 18th. Santa will again be walking behind his ‘Flying Bedstead’, with its lights twinkling and bed knobs glowing, waving and wishing everyone Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
In another ‘Sign of the Times’, Santa may persuade Mrs Santa Claus to be with him to join in the fun, but sadly, this will not be possible every night. Santa’s routes and timetables will be posted on the new website (billingshurstlions.org) and on Facebook. Santa will again have his GPS Tracker ‘Track Santa’ for you to follow his whereabouts, by finding the link on the website or by downloading the ‘Track Server’ app and entering the user name BDLC. Donations will be gratefully received by the Elves in their socially distanced buckets on broom handles, on Just Giving (details on the website & Facebook), in the Bookshop, or by using the Feed the Lions collecting jars. Grateful thanks go to Station Garage, Broadbridge Heath, for the generous loan of a Skoda Octavia Estate car, PD Motors, Billingshurst, for the loan of batteries for the music and lights and DG Clifton & Sons at Wharf Farm, Newbridge, for out of season storage of Santa’s Bedstead.
