VILLE VENTURES - ‘NEW ARTISTE OF THE MONTH’

Where were you born? Canada, but I grew up in Trinidad & Tobago. When did you discover your interest in music? I fell in love with HipHop at the age of 12, but wrote my first song at the age of 13. By age 18, I was putting my lyrics to beats and at the age 21, I recorded my first track. I’m still growing and working on it, but I must say that I have come a very long way. What can we expect from you in 2015? A sneak peak of what’s ahead is the release of my track called ‘25 to lights’ accompanied by a studio video. Additionally, I will be releasing another track called ‘Fire’. You can also look out for freestyles from me, each month that I will be posting up on my sites, just to entertain my fans and develop myself even further. What motivates you? I push myself to the fullest because it gives me joy to continue on the road to a higher greatness. To follow my dreams and inspire others to go for theirs.

'FASHION101 with Neicy

'FASHION101 with Neicy: Keys for bringing out the FASHIONISTA in YOU!!! By: Nekisha Cyrus (NEICY) Happy New Year Fashionistas, hope that 2015 is off to a superb start. Carnival time is here once again, so in keeping with the ‘Spirit of Carnival’, I will like to dedicate this tip to anyone who’s partaking. Whether you’re hitting those popular fetes, playing mass or just simply being in the mix of it all. CREATIVITY IS KEY Creativity- the use of imagination or original ideas to create something. Around this time of year, designers are putting their finishing touches on their costumes, while additionally looking for ways to improve for the upcoming year. So why should they have all the fun? You can be creative too! With a variety of events to attend, shopping becomes a task trying to get the latest trends in the shortest space of time and still look fabulous….so let’s get creative. Time to revisit your closest; no not on the surface but those items that we seem to somehow have forgotten about. Maybe they have gone out of style, or the colour is no longer in? Whatever the reason as I always say- ‘Become a trend-setter, not follow the trend’. Recently, a friend of mines posted this on Facebook- ‘Don’t ask what’s the dress code, dress and become the code’. I thought this was so smart, if only everyone can understand the true inspiration behind it. Now is definitely the time to revisit and get creative- cut that old pair of jeans that’s just sitting in the back of the closest, dye that cute shirt in a new exciting colour, wear that skirt that people seem to have forgotten was once the ‘must have’ for the season. Who knows you may be starting the new ‘recycling trend’? Take the expiration date off your clothes, especially when your reason for no longer wearing it is simply because, it’s no longer in style- I say Non-Sense!!! Hope this month’s tip helps, also for further information you can email me: nekishacyrus@gmail.com, I will reply as soon as I can or you can check out me out on: Facebook/ Twitter/ Instagram- #NEICYOfficial Thoughts + Actions = RESULTS Love Neicy J
