Preface IBMR Degree College, located at Akshay Colony Vidyanagar, Hubli, provides a very conducive and scholarly environment where learned & experienced faculty and students interact in the process of learning. It is committed to teach the most contemporary management and create a cadre of world class professionals. In its endeavour to make learning a pleasant experience, it strives to create systems that are user friendly, fair and transparent, without compromising on quality of education. Activities like program structuring, development of course curriculum, pedagogy to be followed, delivering good quality instruction according to the curriculum, establishing procedures for standardized and transparent evaluation, are controlled by the Academic Advisory Body. Quality and integrity; organization and conduct of students; assessment & examinations; are the responsibility of the Examination Board. IBMR provides opportunity to students for open enquiry, discussion and challenging of ideas. It believes in students having reasonable access to faculty members, which is very essential for continuation of the academic process even outside the classroom. The faculty members at IBMR play a significant role in ensuring quality of education through effective and interactive teaching; continuous and multi-criteria assessment; and feedback to students. At IBMR we strongly believe in ethics. Apart from providing for professional skills, the course curriculum prescribed by Karnatak University Dharwad, is specifically designed to cater the soft skills required for the corporate executives. In developing soft skills emphasis is laid on areas like self development and interpersonal skills, leading through teams etc. To inculcate a spirit of reverence, morality and virtues students are guided on their behavioural aspects by a committee of faculty members who have a close interaction with the students in these 3 years. This aspect is supplemented with a support through various types of workshops and orientation programmes conducted by expert guests from different walks of life. The mind that seeks the desired knowledge, acquires skills and commensurate attitudinal changes transforms a person into an efficient corporate leader in a changing environment punctuated with drastic organizational and technological changes. Infrastructure LIBRARY IBMR Library endeavours to serve the role of Knowledge Arena. The volumes of books and Journals is being continuously updated by adding new editions/publications. Presently the library has over 3,500 books and subscribes to numerous National and International journals freely accessible to all the members of IBMR. Students are issued library books as per the library rules framed and displayed in the library from time to time. Mutilating or defacing library books, journals and other material by highlighting, underlining, writing, removing pages, or otherwise damaging the library material will be viewed very seriously as an offence committed that may lead to disciplinary as well as penal action. COMPUTER LAB IT has effected a paradigm shift in life, business and relationships. IBMR Job Fair Projects and Industrial Visits Projects and Industrial Visits Internships/Projects constitute an integral part of the IBMR curriculum and are valued for their relevance in Management Education. Internship is positioned between the first and second year of the IBMR program. After completing the first year course work, the students are placed in different organizations for a period of two months on a specific assignment.

Placements IBMR prides itself on the placements the students get. In the Corporate Resource Centre there is a whole dedicated team which works together with the student placement committee to ensure that the best companies visit our campus. IBMR has one of the most advanced online recruitment system which is regularly used by HR heads.

Apart from giving the students an opportunity to test out the theoretical concepts learnt in the classroom, the project experience gives an insight into the working of the real organizations. This also helps students explore career opportunities in their areas of interest and appreciate the interlinkages among different functions and develop a realistic managerial perspective about the organizations. The Corporate Resource Centre locates suitable projects in different organizations. The students have to accept the first offer they get. As a part of the assignment, students are required to submit a report. The presentation made by the student to the organization forms the basis for the evaluation of the project work. Industry Visits To have a firsthand knowledge of how Industries and organizations operate, industry visits are organized. The interaction with industry experts, touring of factories and facilities help students to relate the theories they have learnt.
