Ralph Senior and Ralph Junior stood side by side outside their RV, looking at the iconic Wrigley Field in the distance. They were older now, but their excitement was as fresh as ever.
“We made it, Dad,” Ralph Junior said, his voice filled with emotion.
As they walked toward the stadium, their Cubs gear in hand, Ralph Senior and Junior couldn’t believe the moment had finally arrived. The 2016 World Series. “It’s been a long time coming,” Ralph Senior said with a smile.
Entering the stadium, they were surrounded by a sea of Cubs fans, all buzzing with excitement. Ralph Junior looked around, taking it all in.
“This is it,” he whispered. “The moment we’ve been waiting for.”
They found their seats, gazing at the field in awe. The air was electric with anticipation.
“We’re here, Dad,” Ralph Junior said, gripping his father’s hand. Ralph Senior smiled, a tear in his eye. “I always knew we’d make it.”
The Cubs took the field, and the stadium erupted in cheers. Ralph Senior and Junior stood up, cheering alongside the thousands of fans. This was their dream, and it was finally happening.
The game unfolded with tension and excitement. Every pitch, every swing, had the crowd on the edge of their seats. Ralph Junior leaned forward, barely able to contain his nerves, while Ralph Senior watched with quiet intensity.

Father and son stood among the celebrating fans, soaking in the moment. They had waited their whole lives for this, and now it was real. The Cubs had won the World Series, and their journey had come full circle.
As they walked back to their RV, Cubs flags in hand, Ralph Senior and Junior felt a deep sense of fulfillment.
“It wasn’t just about the win,” Ralph Junior said. “It was about everything we’ve been through to get here.” Ralph Senior nodded. “That’s what made it special.”
Back in the RV, Ralph Senior and Junior sat together, quietly reflecting on their journey.
“It wasn’t always easy,” Ralph Senior said, “but I wouldn’t trade any of it.” Ralph Junior smiled. “Neither would I.”
