Doctor Owl stretched his wings as he opened his clinic for the day. “Good morning, everyone!” he hooted. “Who’s ready for a healthy check-up?”

A young raccoon limped toward Doctor Owl. “I hurt my paw while climbing,” he said, looking sad. “Don’t worry,” Doctor Owl replied gently. “Let’s take a look and get you fixed up.”

Doctor Owl gently cleaned and rewrapped the bandage on the raccoon’s paw. “When we get hurt, it’s important to keep the area clean and rest until it heals,” he explained. The raccoon nodded, feeling better already.

Turning to the children, Doctor Owl said, “Do you know what’s in a first-aid kit?” The kids shook their heads, curious. Doctor Owl showed them bandages, ointments, and tools. “These are all important for small injuries,” he said.

Next, a squirrel sneezed loudly. “I think I have the sniffles,” he said. Doctor Owl checked his temperature and gave him warm herbal tea. “Rest and hydration are the best cure,” he advised.

Doctor Owl spoke to a family of rabbits about staying healthy. “Eat plenty of fresh foods, stay warm, and always wash your paws before meals,” he said. “That will keep you strong and healthy!”

The children helped Doctor Owl organize his healing herbs and supplies. “This one is for cuts, and this one helps with fevers,” he said, teaching them about the natural remedies he used.

A fox brought a basket of berries to Doctor Owl. “Thank you for helping my little one feel better,” she said gratefully. Doctor Owl smiled. “Taking care of each other is what makes our village special.”

Doctor Owl gathered the children and said, “Caring for others isn’t just about healing injuries. It’s about listening, understanding, and being kind to those who need help.”

The critters and children sat together outside the clinic, feeling calm and happy. “Thank you, Doctor Owl,” the children said. “We’ve learned so much today!” Doctor Owl nodded.

“Remember, caring for others makes the world brighter.”
As the

sun set, Doctor Owl closed his clinic.

“Goodnight, everyone!” he hooted.
“Stay healthy and keep helping each other.”

Think About:

1. What did Doctor Owl teach the raccoon about healing his paw?

2. How can you take care of yourself and others when they’re not feeling well?

3. Why is kindness important when someone is hurt or sad?

Let's Work Together: By caring for ourselves and others, we can make our homes and communities healthier and happier.

I Will: I will take care of myself and be kind to others who need help or comfort.

The Importance of Knowing: Knowing how to care for others teaches us empathy, responsibility, and the value of kindness, making our communities stronger and more connected.
