Brite Star Critter Village, The Big Goodbye Party

Page 1

The last day of Camp Brite Star had arrived. The children packed their bags, feeling both happy and sad.

“I’m going to miss this place,” said Mia, hugging her backpack.

The camp director clapped her hands. “Before you leave,

there’s one

more surprise for you,” she said with a wink. “We have special guests waiting for you.”

The campers followed the path into the magical forest, their hearts pounding with excitement. “Do you think it’s Critter Village?” whispered Jake. “I hope so!” replied Sarah.

The children gasped as they entered Critter Village. Colorful banners hung from the trees, and long tables were filled with delicious food. The critters waved and cheered. “Welcome back, campers!” Mayor Coyote called out.

Sheriff Bear stood behind a big grill, flipping veggie burgers and roasted corn. He wore an apron that read, "Grill Master." “Grab a plate, kids!” he called. “Everything's fresh from Farmer Rabbit’s garden.”

Farmer Rabbit walked around with baskets of fresh strawberries, blueberries, and crunchy carrots. “Don’t forget your fruits and veggies,” she said, winking at the kids.

Firefighter Fox set up a water splash game. “Who’s ready to get soaked?” he laughed as he filled buckets with water. The children and critters cheered and ran to play.

Postmaster Raccoon held a small bag filled with handmade friendship bracelets. “These are for you,” he said as he handed one to each child. “So you’ll always remember us.”

As the sun began to set, Doctor Owl gathered everyone around a campfire.

“Before you leave, I have

one last story to tell,” he said. The children sat quietly, their eyes wide with wonder.

The sun dipped behind the trees, filling the sky with pink and orange hues. The children and critters shared one last meal together, talking, laughing, and trading stories about their summer adventures.

One by one, the critters hugged each camper goodbye. “Come back next year,” Sheriff Bear said with a grin. “We’ll be right here waiting.”

Think About:

1. How did the critters make the children feel special on their last day?

2. Why are goodbyes hard sometimes, even when you're excited to go home?

3. What would you do to make a friend feel special before they leave?

Let's Work Together: By sharing goodbyes with love and kindness, we can show others how much they mean to us.

I Will: I will say goodbye with love, knowing that every ending is the start of a new adventure.

The Importance of Knowing: Knowing how to say goodbye with kindness teaches us to cherish the special moments in life and look forward to new ones.
