Camp Brite Star, Teamwork on the Trails

Page 1

Lindsey stood at the start of the hiking trail with the kids gathered around her. “Today, we’re going on a hike,” she announced. “We’ll work together as a team and help each other along the way!”

Lindsey reminded the group, “Hiking is more fun when we stay together. If someone needs help, we’ll be there for them. Teamwork makes the adventure better for everyone!”

The kids lined up and started down the trail, excited for the journey ahead. Each of them carried a small backpack with water and snacks, ready for the adventure.

As they walked, they came across a fallen log. One of the kids struggled to climb over it, and another child offered a helping hand. Lindsey smiled, proud of their teamwork.

The trail grew rocky, and Lindsey showed the kids where to step safely.
“Sometimes we need to slow down and watch out for each other,” she said.
“That’s how we stay safe.”

One of the kids stopped to tie their shoelace, but it kept coming undone.

Two others paused to help, working together to make sure it was secure.

“Thank

you!” the child said with a grin.

Lindsey pointed to a hill in the distance.

“That’s our next goal,” she said. “Let’s encourage each other to keep going. Remember, we’re in this together!”

When they reached the top, the kids cheered, amazed by the beautiful view below. They looked out at the trees, hills, and sky, feeling proud of what they had accomplished as a team.

As they started back down the trail, Lindsey said, “Going down can be tricky, so let’s keep helping each other. Teamwork means we’re always there for each other, especially when things get tough.”

The trail became steep, and the kids held hands to help each other down safely.

“You’re

doing great!” they cheered for each other, working together every step of the way.

Back at the trailhead, Lindsey gathered the kids in a circle. “You all showed amazing teamwork today!” she said. “Because

of your support for each other, we had a great hike.”

Think About:

1. How did working together make the hike more enjoyable for everyone?

2. Why is it important to support each other during a challenging task?

3. What did the kids learn about teamwork on the trail?

Let's Work Together: By helping each other, we can reach our goals more easily and make adventures more fun. Teamwork makes every challenge a little easier.

I Will: I will remember to help my friends when they need support and be a good teammate, just like on the hiking trail.

The Importance of Knowing: Knowing the power of teamwork helps us support each other in all areas of life, making our friendships and communities stronger.
