Stabben has become one of Frøya’s most visited tourist attractions and is equally as popular in stormy weather as on a beautiful summer’s day. The site offers a great view of the spectacular sea refractions. There is free access to the area and large parts of the war memorial Stabben Fort is made available to visitors. Visit Titran to see where the blockbuster films “Alle hater Johan” and “Gulltransporten” was shot before you go enjoy a coffee at Gaustadbrygga.
The exhibition at Stabben Fort is a part of Frøya Bygdemuseum and can be booked as a guided tour. Guided tours taking place during the weekdays can be booked in advance by contacting Frøya Turistinformasjon, located at Frøya Arena. You must be at least a party of 4 adults to make a reservation. The tunnels are open every day. It is recommended to wear appropriate clothing and shoes.
Fr Ya Bygdemuseum
Frøya bygdetun, a rural museum, is located right next to Sistranda Kystbarnehage and is open to visitors. The old and stunning Dalastua is placed in idyllic surroundings. Please contact the tourist information desk at Frøya Cultural Centre for a guided tour.
The rural museum consists of houses from the 1800s and is part of the main museum. Frøya Bygdetun is situated by the beautiful seashore of Sistranda, right next to Sistranda Kystbarnehage. A barbeque area and benches are available to the public. To book a tour, please contact Frøya Turistinformasjon/Frøya arena.
