We seek to choose a path that leads us to question three troupes Perception , Performance and Domesticity. Through these troupes of ideas we sought to weave a new narrative and synergy into a site that has seen effects of being a place of importance and during a crisis architecture is the first victim to face the music. Let us not forget that before the events of 2014 we were not dealing with a decaying site or building but rather a decaying culture. The center seeks the allow a much more relaxed view of the intense moments faced in the past giving way to a shift in perception it is then our burden to explain why should such a center exist and we would like to answer in the words of french philosopher Meraul ponty’s verse “ It is the Mission of the Twentieth century to elucidate the irrational” thus making the burden a duty and giving rise to the center as a campus to educate the city .The campus idea is a choice we have made to allow a person to enter the building without having the fear of the past but rather the excitement of the future through its open space mixed programs , layering and often confusing but thought provoking frontality . In the Campus the city will discover layers of the programs of the port of cultures with hints to the dometic nature of the cities roof patterns , grids and spatial alignments.

The site offers an interesting condition to the center , it offers a choice of archetype that of a monument and that of an Institute to house culture.
C GROUND FLOOR PLAN @ +3000MM
SECTION AA
Our next troupe is the ideology of performance , and what it means to not only walk in a center but rest and seek refuge while also learning what the center has to offer . Through the layers we intend to allow the city to participate in the circulation through and around the building with every corner offering a program. The ultimate aim of the center is now slowly uncovering itself a disguised campus and a self induced narrative for individual experience.
