I AM WHAT MY MOTHER IS, MY IDENTITY IS THAT OF MY MOTHER

NO DIFFERENCE AS SUCH BETWEEN ME AND MY SISTER, NO DIFFERENCE AS SUCH BETWEEN ME AND MY MOTHER, ONLY DIFFERENCE WE HAVE IS BETWEEN US AND THEM, WHERE US ARE IN A BOX AND FUNCTION IS TO COOK, WHEREAS THEY ARE OUT EARNING AND CAN READ ANY BOOK

I AM WHAT MY MOTHER IS, MY IDENTITY IS THAT OF MY MOTHER

FOR THAT WE KNOW THE GENDER ROLES WONT CHANGE, ALL WE ARE SO FAR AND LOST IN THE RACE ALL WE CAN DO NOW IS LIKE MOTHER WE DRESS!

THE LIBRARY The Library of mixed programmes tries to understand the ontology of Thane, the programmes of it, the nostalgia of the site and what the residents want to see and understand. The copulation of programmes has a different effect on every space, every time programmes comes close to each other, the space experiences, rather tastes a new programme. This new programmes give birth to the new objects which again help the space and programme in its very own way.

COMMUNITY CENTRE-64 Community Centre 64 tries to mainly understand the Community of Thane and also the Urbanity of it. What does a Ground want to be? Does the site want to be a Community centre? What political nature does the space demand? A group of women at evening demand a space, Few Old people near the street demand a space, the youth finding a ground to play demand a space, and finding answers for such questions gave birth to 64 programmes within the limit of certain space.

LALBAUG MAPPING Before 11 days it was 45 days, it started from the first day of the 45th, frames for advertisements, staffs for services, lights for decorations, shops for business, it was a busy street, a rowdy street before 11 days but when faith enters, Aura changes, System changes, People change, Order changes, different thinkers come together, different opinions come together, different occupations come together, stars and common come for one, street becomes street again, facade flaunts it colours, people show their colours, this 11 day makes everything what they are, it attracts crowd of faith, after 11 it will be 45 again, everything will be normal again, maybe abnormal again.

TOUR DOCUMENTATION This segment comprises of artworks and models of spaces we encountered, it was the first time I met Le Corbusier in Chandigarh, it was the first time I tried to understand the nature of spaces, it was the first time I questioned every space and tried to look through other object’s eyes rather than the subject’s eyes. What a Tomb is to man is not to the dove, A dove owns the tomb where as the man admires it.

ONE OF MANY LIVES WHAT IS ONE OF MANY LIVES? The lives that we live are many in it’s number but nobody ever questions the rituals of the lives,The capitalist monk, The traveller who is sane,The maid who is rich, and the dancer who is a doctor, the withch that is the ticket lady the uncle who wears A sage and the Ticket checker who has one hand. As such we live our lives, not ever questioning that we live them all.The fall in Love is the one we seem to think is life, but what about the time you grew 8 legs, what about the time where country forgot the actual question, the boy who rode the horse,The Architect who made the hand, and the painer who invented masturbation. Most often we forget the lives we live.

COSMIC CONSEQUENCE ART WORK FOR FAIRY TALES ARCHITECTURE INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION. EXHIBITED IN TWO GALLERY EVENTS AND ONE RESIDENCY.

COSMIC CONSEQUENCE IS A TALE ABOUT THE CITY AND THE UNUSUAL OBJECTS THAT INHERATE ITS GEOGRAPHY.THE STORY STARTS WITH THE DAILY ROUTINE OF A DOMESTIC MAID AND HOW SHE VIEWS LIFE AS A COSMIC CONSEQUENCE RIGHT FROM HER IMAGINED COSMIC BIRTH TO HER COSMIC TAKE OVER . THEMES OF BECOMING A RELIGIOUS FIGURE , GENDER POLITICS , OBJECT ORIENTED ONTOLOGY AS WELL AS THEMES OF MYTHOLOGY ARE EXPLORED TO REALIZE THE COSMIC CONSEQUENCE. THE STORY BREACHES THE FABRIC OF UNDERSTANDING THAT WE HAVE BECOME THE ONTOLOGY OF THE OBJECTS AROUND OUR GEOGRAPHY, WE HAVE BECOME THE IDEOLOGIES OF OUR URBAN. IN A SEARCH FOR OURSELVES WE HAVE GIVEN A REASON TO BELIEVE IN MYTH. MAYBE ARCHITECTURE SHOULD EXPLORE THESE MYTHS OR WHAT WE CALL COSMIC CONSEQUENCE.
