SMITHY’S OUTBACK DINNER & SHOW) After a warm welcome by our experienced crew, take your seat on the top deck of the Longreach Explorer ready to capture 360-degree sweeping river and floodplain views. Our Captain will enthral you with captivating stories about the river, its wildlife and Indigenous heritage. See the curious Emmott’s shortnecked turtles at sunset bend. Purchase an icy cold drink from our licensed bar to pair with complimentary savoury nibbles. As the vibrant sunset colours fade into starlight, we dock at Smithy’s Outback Dinner & Show. SMITHY’S MORNING CRUISE Spend an idyllic morning on the Thomson River, with tea, coffee, homemade slice and freshly baked Anzac biscuits. Appreciate the morning light as we gracefully glide along this magnificent waterway. Gain a close-up view of some Aboriginal Shield Trees when we disembark at a special location.
SMITHY’S ARVO CRUISE Cruise the Thomson River in the early afternoon to learn more about our Indigenous heritage. We’ll disembark at a special location to get a closer look at a series of Aboriginal shield trees, also known as canoe or scar trees. Enjoy a complimentary wine, beer or soft drink.

Join us on a tour of Camden Park Station, an 18,000 acre property just a short drive from town. This historic property has been in the Walker family for 5 generations. See the‘Dry Bottom’ Chinaman’s Well built in the 1920s, visit Swaggies Grave and see the huge solar farm, just one of the recent diversifications undertaken by the family. Enjoy a delicious morning tea in the Shearing Shed while listening to stories of when royalty came to visit.

STRATHMORE STATION SMOKO TOUR Meet Maree at Strathmore Station who will share her passion for station life on a tour of her family property. Learn about Santa Gertrudis cattle and Merino wool production. Hear how these third-generation graziers made water run uphill with their award-winning water system. Back at the homestead you’ll have time to wander the tranquil gardens and enjoy some warm Outback hospitality including Maree’s homebaked morning tea.

ROSEBANK STATION SMOKO TOUR Here’s your chance to explore a historic homestead that has been a part of the Longreach social history for over 100 years. Take a short drive around the property passing dams, waterways and Wellshot Creek. The hospitality of the Smith family (owners of Outback Aussie Tours) is legendary. Tour the homestead and see the Princess Wing where Princess Alexandra stayed in the 50s. Enjoy a freshly-baked morning tea on the verandah.
