Dear WAHO Members, On behalf of the Arabian Horse Society of Australia, it is our distinct privilege and honour to invite you to attend the WAHO 2019 Conference in Australia. Almost two decades have passed since we last welcomed the global Arabian Community to Australia for the 2000 WAHO Conference. We now look forward to once again sharing our horses and our hospitality with our friends from around the world, in what is sure to be an unforgettable experience. Please take the time to read through this brochure to discover all that awaits you at the WAHO 2019 Conference Australia. The extensive Conference website is also an invaluable resource of up-to-date information, detailing every aspect of the remarkable experiences we are planning for you. As we realise you will be making quite an investment in both time and resources to join us in Australasia, our owners and breeders are especially excited to invite you to take the time to visit them during and after the WAHO General Assembly itself. They are keen for you to discover the extraordinary diversity and inspiring achievements of our purebred Arabians & Arabian Derivatives. An ambitious pre and post-conference schedule has therefore been organised, giving you the opportunity to see as many horses as possible in both Australia and neighbouring New Zealand. And of course we also want you to enjoy some of the sights and culture that Australia and New Zealand have to offer. So, apart from the four days of Pre-Conference sight seeing tours on offer in Sydney, we have arranged nine very special days of Post-Conference options, including stud tours and horse presentations, in the Hunter Valley, Victoria, Queensland and New Zealand. The central days of the WAHO General Assembly itself will feature interesting guest speakers alongside the usual business of WAHO. Our shared love for and responsibility to the Arabian horse is what brings us together to celebrate the Arabian horse in February 2019 on the Central Coast of New South Wales, with a common commitment to ensuring a better and brighter future for the Arabian horse in all respects. An essential element of both Aussie and Kiwi hospitality is to impress our guests with the enduring feeling of being at a 'home away from home’, creating a sense of family that extends beyond cultures, ideologies and backgrounds. It is our hope that the WAHO 2019 Conference will long be remembered as an epic equine journey of enjoyment, fun and friendship.
