Prospect Plaza Revitalization Plan Status • NYCHA submitted an amendment to the Prospect Plaza Revitalization Plan to HUD in March 2011. The amendment provided approval for demolition and new construction based on Re-Vision Prospect Plaza Community Plan. • NYCHA received conditional approval from HUD on May 3, 2011. • The conditional approval is contingent upon the development of at least 360 units of affordable housing, including a minimum of 80 units of public housing. • NYCHA and HPD will jointly issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for new construction. • Developer will be selected through a competitive process in early 2012 and construction is anticipated to begin in late 2013.
