November 2024

Wednesday Run was organised by Gaynor Falconer and Julie Nicol culminating with afternoon tea at the Clydevale Tavern.

Congratulations to Murray Lloyd who took part in the Taieri Tour coming 1st in his section with the 1952 Triumph Renown.

A huge thank you to all who organised an excellent Clutha Rally under trying circumstances with the conditions of the roads causing several changes to the planned day. The members are grateful to all who came along to participate in the day, a few showers in the morning but sunshine later so we could eat our lunch picnic style in front of the Waitahuna Hall on the sealed roadway – the grounds by the river too soft for vehicles this time. The route took entrants (37) over some country roads of Inch Clutha, through Kaitangata, around Summer Hill coast road to loop back to Kaitangata then on to Lakeside Road turning at Station Road Lovells Flat travelling through Moneymore to come out onto SH1 to the intersection at Clarksville Junction. On to SH8 travelling to the lunch stop. Entrants had to be observant with 5 questions to find the answers to. Several locals came to chat and cyclists on the Clutha Gold Trail were treated to viewing the cars too.

Results: Congratulations to all winners.
