BRANCH NEWS

The Vintage Car Club Of New Zealand Inc The Historic Vehicle Authority Of New Zealand

Hi Taranaki Branch

This email is a follow up on our recent phone conversaon regarding branch VIC Officers. I have planned to present a VIC Officers awareness/training session on our club’s revamped/new format VIC applicaon.

This session is scheduled for you on Thursday 21st September at your club rooms at 4 p.m.

Some branches have advised that they will use this excellent opportunity to perhaps introduce more members to the important VIC Officer’s role at your branch. This presentaon should take approximately 2 hours, allowing me for quesons.

Looking forward to your atendance

Regards

Neil Beckenham

From The Editor

Welcome to your newsletter for August. Thanks to John for organising a great weekend event last month, the weather on the day was good and the afternoon tea supplied by the members was something else, well done all of you.

For next month’s Breakfast run, I would like to know numbers attending by Wednesday 20th. September, breakfast at the Autolodge will be $27.50 per person. This will be an easy run in the country, starting from the Merriland’s car park and, hopefully ending at the Auto Lodge, Devon St East for a well-earned cooked breakfast.

We are also running a raffle to support the Rubber Duckie Rally, you can get your tickets on our club nights. Anyone wanting to join the Branch for the Saturday night dinner and prize giving will be welcome, see details on page 4.

As a result of discussions around the meeting table we have decided that in preference to holding an event in support of Daffodil Day this month, we are planning an event in late January 2024. This will be in the form of a Posh Picnic and it is hoped it can be held near the Wind Wand, for maximum exposure to the passing public.

Thats it from me, hope your winter is going well, Jim Logan
