Hi guy's.

It's time to put pencil and paper together again I haven't got a lot to report on this month. With not being at the last meeting however congratulations to all members that remained in their committee positions and welcome to those new members to the committee I would like to welcome Bob winter as a new member to the Vintage Car Club Waimate. By all reports the three passes trip was a success thanks to Brett for taking a punt that it was going to be fine for the trip. We must get together to help brett to organize trips or even to voice some good ideas for a new direction for this club. I would like to suggest to members that every second meeting let's make it a club night bring a plate and enjoy some sort of entertainment. Please bring some ideas along to the next meeting.

On the 1st of July the waimate chook club is having it's first 100-year anniversary show at the showgrounds. I am inviting all people who have an old car or motorcycles that would be interested in showing it to come along at 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to support the chook Club show. There will be no charge to enter your car however there will be a $5 entry fee to enter the show. There will be a coffee card with cheese rolls muffins etc and a sausage sizzle on the day or if you wish to bring a picnic alone that's ok to. The media will be present which should give clubs some good coverage let's make this car show a success.

Well despite my best efforts to get out of the job I am still in the captain’s chair. Some one will need to step up at some stage to take over.

Last weekend the 13th May we had a club run through the 3 passes & Gorges on a nice sunny day. It was a reasonable turn out with a few Timaru members as well, thankfullyno one was lost as there were a few mistakes in the route which I had copied from an old run.

The Rock An Roll night will be on the 15th July. I am still not well organized with this, so any help or ideas would be appreciated. Its open to family and friends not just club members.

Generally I will try to have a run or an event every few months, some times there are other club events that I need to work around, so time of month will vary a little. Thank you for those people who have helped me over the past 6 months with rally’s etc and to the members that turn up and do not complain to much it makes the effort worth while.

.Make your one for the road a classic yeah right make it a vintage.

• Discussion re name change: to Classic and vintage Club suggested Vintage and Classic better option to avoid confusion with existing club need to be looked at with regards constitution change.
