Hi guys.

Another wet weekend. Fortunately I was able to get all of my spuds in before it started.

After the cancelation of our fund raising raffle it is now held on the 8th of November. Hopefully we will have a fine Friday.

Xmas is looming at a fast rate of Knots. I have booked us in at the River T Winery in Kurow at 12 o'clock on the 24th of November.

Let's give our cars a good run. Starting at the club rooms at 10am have a cuppa and head away about 10.30.

I do need numbers no later than our next club meeting Please. It should be a good day out.

The T pot Rally is ready to go thanks to Peter Bland and Barry. A reminder that on the 9th November meeting at the Morven Domain at 11.30am. Bring your lunch and a plate for afternoon tea at the club rooms. Not alot to report this month. Until we meet again have a good one.

Cheers. Owen

Next meeting is on the 21st November at 7.30pm.

7th National Commercial Rally 2024

The National Commercial was hosted by The North Otago Branch from the 25th-28th October

There was approx. 30 entries only 2 from the North Island and 2 from The Waimate Branch Ross & Christine Brown and Suzanne and myself .

The weather especially on Saturday was rain to say the least and as it was the first time my 1939 pickup has been out in heavy rain I discovered it had numerous places that were leaking and with it being very cold with the windows fogging up we pulled out of Saturday’s run.

Sunday went to start the pickup no go would not start , so reverted to Courier for the day, I have to say it was certainly warmer in the Courier.

The run Took in Park Side Quarry where we were giving a interesting insight in the History of the Limestone Quarry and how they went about the limestone quarrying. Then onto Clarks Mill for lunch and a Tour thru the Mill and Vintage Machinery.

Presentation and Dinner was at the Brydon Hotel
