From the Editor: Greetings to you all. As I write, I’m looking forward to the Hadstock Park Gymkhana on Sunday 7th May. You might get Dripfeed after the event if you’re on snail mail, but not to worry, the Balcairn Trial follows in July and then the Rosco and Marlborough versions. We had a discussion in the Committee last week about one of our traditional events, the Pomeroy Trophy. Unfortunately the conclusion is that we can’t run it as we have for at least three reasons. The first is that Ruapuna is currently so heavily booked that we can’t get a useable slot during the day and two, noise restrictions come into force at 6pm precluding a run into the evening and three, it is now prohibitively expensive to hire the track for a small club such as ours. I imagine it’d be pretty prohibitive for a club the size of the state of Texas actually. An option is to go further afield to Levels. We’ll explore that as an option, but don’t hold your breath. Regards Craig If you wish to receive Dripfeed by email, please let us know. _______________________________________________________________________________
