SUNDAY RUNS and other Events; Next meeting Wednesday 8th March Ideas >>> March to the historic NEVIS township Glenorchy

Chairman’s Report Feb 17 Great to hear the positive feedback for having the parts department open the day of the Cromwell car show. In my opinion it can only grow. This brought up the subject of signs and advertising. We have touched on the subject before but there needs to be some thought go into what is required, with any display board we must truly reflects our Central Otago Club. There should also be consideration for national level. It is important we get it right. For members who were not at the meeting I know it is in the minutes we require a digital pic of your car, project and memorabilia . Also a list of advertising for the club activities there is a little prize at the end. Keep the wheels turning see you at the next meeting. Cheers Bill Crooks,

Its not the new radials, or the stunning paint job that’s getting all the attention but the full blown character of Herb and Julie Fox’s Dodge.

I am suggesting a touring group, That is to promote the aim to get out and take the opportunity to visit parts that we normally miss in our point to point travel. Over the last 5 years I have joined in two SI Club Captains tours four Model T Ford Club tours, the V&V tour and two of our own the trip to Ohau and to the Catlins. There is the Wallaby Rally, the Gore Rally, West Coast Scenicland Rally & North Otago overnighter in March, The aim is to enjoy the trip the opportunities to explore and visit attractions, and to enjoy one a shared companionship. And to do his while we are still able. Vehicle types and crew experience , members of the NZVCC and vehicles from 1900 to 1987 both able to operate on public roads and be able to make 150km in a day. As it has been my experience there is great support for those who may have the odd misfortune and it will only improve your confidence and enjoyment. Please e-mail me to register your interest. Phone calls evenings only. Graham Taylor gtml@xtra.co.nz
