General knowledge quiz given at last meeting 14 quick fire questions ranging from, Name 3 vehicle makes starting with A, through to common road rules. They were all given with friendly banter and some of the answers at times had the room in fits of laughter and even had some funny justification for answers given. Being a vehicle orientated club it was surprising how many struggled to find a word that started with F and ended in uck and was not classed as a bad word. There will be another quiz given at the next meeting so put your thinking caps on and come along for a laugh. As an AA Contractor that gets called to numerous vehicles with flat batteries I have used a number of different jump packs with varying degrees of success and overall, I have found one that is great for most circumstances. It is a Powerall brand sold by Repco for about $200. It charges from a cigarette lighter socket and once charged holds a full charge for a few months, jump starts about 20 times on a charge, is about 8" x 4" in size and weighs less than a kilo. It has usb ports for running a GPS or charging cell phones as well as a handy LED torch built in. This is a product that does work. Kim Munden

Meet at Tokoroa Locksmiths, 11 Mannering St, Tokoroa at 10am Sunday 20th August TTT Rally Committee advise that the Raffle will be held with contributions being asked for and can be dropped off to Frances & Kim at Tokoroa Locksmiths. Any and all donations gratefully accepted. Our TTT Rally is still a while away but planning is already underway. Chuck has suggested a Poker Run for October. Chuck will organise this. Thanks Chuck Neville informed meeting that there are Motor Neuron Puppies for sale, See Neville for these lovely little puppies.

Eastern Bay of Plenty: $10 per vehicle. Meet at the Bunnings car park (Phoenix Drive) at 1pm, followed with a tour of Whakatane. RALLY INFO: The rally will once again be set through pleasant country and where possible, Forestry Roads. As is usual it is a family event. No fiendish navigational rules or instructions written to get you lost. PERIOD DRESS: We encourage you and your team to dress for the period when your vehicle was built or most typically used. We will award a prize for best crew/vehicle combination ENTRIES: To assist with organisation, entries should be sent by November 18. However, we will accept them up to starting time. START LOCATION: South Waikato Vintage Car Clubrooms Vospers Road, Lichfield. (Off SH1 over railway line opposite Pottery shop) FUEL: The rally distance is approximately 120 kilometres. Please ensure you have sufficient fuel to complete the event.
