You should be contacted this week by your contact ringer, if you miss them please contact Colin (768 6934) if you wish to remain for the dinner. We look forward to seeing you there.

ROSCO TRIALS – 18TH JUNE John Fowler is busy organising the Rosco trials at Reefton. Start time is early. Members are welcome to visit at any time. For anyone who has not been up to check this event, it is a very entertaining day. Vehicles come from Canterbury, Nelson and Marlborough and our day kicks off the series. If anyone who has not been before and is interested in going, contact a Committee member for information. As an extra, could any ladies who are going up, please supply a plate towards the sausage sizzle/afternoon tea. Thank you. SNOW RUN AT ST ARNAUD/LAKE ROTOITI The Nelson/Marlborough Snow Run is to be on 16th July, this year being hosted by Marlborough Branch. We have a small group going up who have booked accommodation at the Matiki Motels, Murchison for the night of the 15th. Returning home on the 16th after the dinner. There is still some accommodation available at these motels ie. Studio units for anyone interested in coming along. Contact Dave 768 4226. NATIONAL AGM – MARLBOROUGH - 12-13TH AUGUST Is being held at Blenheim this year. Every member is eligible to attend, note that our Branch has put in a bid to host this event in 2019. If successful, we will be asking members to assist in different ways with the organising. We feel it is good for our Branch to put our hand up and people do like coming to the Coast. It is held alternate years in the North and South Islands. We hope a few of our members could travel up to Blenheim and take part and see the AGM format. It is also a great social get together. You will need to register, please contact me (768 4226) for a form if you are interested.

NATIONAL DAY- 27 AUGUST (Daffodil Rally for Cancer) This is a new concept which came from the Executive meeting in March held at Auckland, and to be in conjunction with the National Cancer Society. All proceeds raised by our Branch will stay in our Region. Events are to start on the same time on the same day which is to be Sunday, 27th August. This is also our Club Run day. It is to be an informal event with a fun element. The event is to be open to anyone who wishes to enter, they don’t have to be a VCC member, can be a member of the public or from another car group and don’t have to have a Club eligible vehicle. This is a chance for us to benefit a very worthwhile charity, gain valuable publicity for our Club as well as enhance our relationship with other car clubs and gain new members. The Committee have discussed this at length but no set plan has yet been decided. Your ideas are welcome, bring them along to the AGM to be considered by Committee. As it is in August we do not have very long to organise an event and our wish is to keep it simple. FACEBOOK The Vintage Car Club now has a Facebook page. For those of you who are on Facebook you can check it out. You will know how. NEW MEMBERS We welcome the following new members to our Branch…

Diane and Ross Brockbank from Hokitika – they own a 1987 XJS 2 door Jaguar Michael Meuli from Hokitika – he owns a 1972 Valiant Charger, a 1972 Holden Torana GTR Coupe and a 1969 E Type Jaguar Coupe Ron Coleman has transferred from Canterbury. He owns a 1926 Willys Whippet and a 1967 Jaguar Saloon 3.4. Ron was a member of our Branch when we were under the Canterbury Branch. Norman Lawrence is in the process of transferring from Auckland. Norman is a motor cycle man and has some interesting machines. We look forward to meeting up with you all at our Club events. It would be good to see you at the AGM next weekend.
