Filigree Wrapped Bail Pendant Tutorial

Center the pendant on the inside of the filigree with petals on either side of the hole at the top.

While holding pieces in place, use chain nose pliers to turn in the petals of the filigree.

Work from opposite sides to create a symmetrical wrap.

Continue to crimp the folded petals tightly against the pendant until they are symmetrical and secure.

Center a 4 inch piece of 18 gauge artisan copper wire through the hole in the pendant until the ends are equal. Use your fingers to gently bend both ends of the wire up above the hole.

While holding the pendant in place form one end of wire along top of pendant and so that it is sticking straight up. Cross the opposite wire leaving a slight gap above pendant.

Use chain nose pliers to wrap bent wire up the neck of the straight wire. End your last coil on the back side of the pendant.

Use flush cutter to trim the excess wire off the top coil on the back side.

Use chain nose pliers to straighten your coils and to tuck in the end of wire.

Use round nose pliers to form a wrapped loop with straight wire. Trim excess wire, straighten loop and crimp down end of wire into coils.
