Wire Wrapped Drops Tutorial

1
Cut an 8" section of 22g Vintaj Artisan Copper Wire. String wire through a top-drilled bead. Position bead in the middle of wire. Bring both sides up above the bead.
2
While holding the bead in place, use your fingers to tightly form and cross wires above the bead. Bend the wire in the back so that it is sticking straight up.
3
Hold the bead and wrap all of the front wire around the top portion of bead creating messy coils.
4
Use Chain Nose Pliers to tuck in the tail end of wire under coils.
5
Use Round Nose Pliers to form a loop above the messy coil.
6
Use the remaining wire to continue a messy coil, wrapping wire below loop and around previous coils.
7
Use Chain Nose Pliers to tuck in the tail end of wire, adjust and tighten the coils to complete a secure wrapped drop.
8
Use Chain Nose Pliers to straighten out loop of wire.
9
Repeat steps to create multiple wire wrapped drops. Suspend and cluster from your design with jump rings.
*TIP* Try wrapping different sizes and shapes of top-drilled beads with a variety of Vintaj wire colors and gauges to add texture to your design.
