Welcome to Croatia, one of emerging destinations (when it comes to tourism) of Southern/Mediterranean Europe (UNWTO, 2017). It might be small but it has many to offer especially when it comes to food. Through history, Croatia has been ruled by many different countries and every country had a different impact but all of them left the same thing that helped Croatia to have a diverse cuisine. Spices from Hungary, minced meat dished from Ottomans, Mediterranean food from Venetians and the famous Vienna steak from Austria (Tour Croatia). Gastronomic (wine and food) tourism does not play a big role in Croatia but it can offer much to those whose primary reason (motivation factor) for visiting countries is exploring them by trying i.e. tasting different dishes and wine sorts and participating in different food or wine festivals (Novelli, 2005). Having this in mind attracted market would be affluent people and food and wine enthusiasts who do not mind spending a bit more ( this product will include a workshop with one of Croatia’s top chefs). Furthermore, they will be thought how dishes are made and will be taken to some vineyards and wineries.
