57% of the students finds Europe as a union of values which formed its spiritual identity. Most of Polish students who took part in the poll thinks of Europe in this way. For 40 % of the students Europe is just its geographical area and the political meaning. For 18% of the students Europe means a continent.

The great majority of the students claimed that in spite of such diversity in Europe, it is possible to speak about ‘European identity’.
Most of the students (80%) feel Polish first then European justifying it with great attachement to the Polish culture, tradition and history. At the same time they indicate the feeling of ‘being a European’, having a close relation with Europe and common values and traditions such as liberty, human rights, democracy, tolerance. They pay attention to the opportunities that being a EU member gives: the possiblity of moving around, getting a job and getting to know with other cultures.

Answering this question Polish students mention taking part in the international projects and learning more about other cultures (63%). Tolerance, learning foreign languages and European education are also important to them.
For us, young Poles and Europeans it is important to recover from the crisis. We would like to have equal chances in getting jobs according to our qualifications. We need to have a sense of security which would let us start families and take care of them. We want an equal access to the social and medical care. We want to live in peace, in respect of our common values.
