United We Dine is a fun way to help our local United Way. All you have to do is have lunch at one of Clarksville’s favorite participating restaurants, and a portion of the bill is automatically donated to the organization.

Mayor Joe Pitts was doing his part, simply by enjoying the Pastrami at Fanelli’s Deli & Market on Franklin St. “First of all, our United Way is awesome,” Pitts said. “They’re doing some important work, especially during the pandemic. Secondly, we’re grateful for places like Fanelli’s that are participating in United We Dine. So many restaurants around our city have stepped up to contribute with this great event today.”

Valerie Guzman is CEO of United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region. “I’m excited to be here, this is my first stop for the day. The menu looks amazing, and the people here are so friendly and helpful. I am so thankful to Fanelli’s, this business is new to our community, but they’ve already decided to step up and take part in United We Dine. That, to me, is amazing.

“This is the 8th year for this annual event. We weren’t able to do this last year because of the pandemic, so we’re happy to start getting back to a little bit of normal. This might not make as much today as it has in years past, but at least we’re able to get people to get out and shop local.”
