Teresa Horgan, Coral & Cory Bender, Roscoe & Remy Photos by Aaryn Storms Dog and Howl-o-ween lovers alike came together for the 2021 Barktober Fest, which was held over Halloween weekend at Pelican Park in Mandeville and hosted by the St. Francis Animal Sanctuary. There were costume contests held for dogs big and small, pet adoptions, numerous vendors, and plenty of playing from our furry friends. Each dog was also given a special bag of treats and prizes upon their departure from the event. We already can’t wait until next year’s Barktober Fest!
