The stackable Open-Air cord chair comprises a simple powder-coated aluminium frame with a round backrest that extends to form the armrests. A woven cord wrapped around the back and armrest reflects the airy expression that underpins the design ethos of the Open-Air collection. The chair is completed with a comfortable cushion upholstered in a woven outdoor textile.

Mirroring the tabletop design of the Open-Air coffee table, slim teak lamellas are repeated in the Open-Air café table. Placed atop a four-legged base made of powder-coated aluminium, both materials are selected for their durability and resistance to outdoor conditions. Adjustable levelling feet ensure stability on uneven terrain.

The Vipp Open-Air outdoor collection is crafted from powder-coated aluminium and teak, renowned for its durability when well maintained. Follow the instructions and treat the outdoor collection with proper care to preserve its lasting appeal and appearance for years to come.
If cleaning is needed, we recommend using a vacuum cleaner to remove any debris inside the textile. Avoid hard floor brushes when vacuuming. Keep sharp objects away and push loose threads back with a blunt object instead of cutting. Clean regularly with lukewarm water (max 40°C) and mild cleaning agent on a terry cloth, testing on a hidden spot first.
In certain situations, if the upholstery has not been well cared for and protected, mould and mildew can develop. While the fabric itself does not promote the growth of mould and mildew, it can easily develop if organic materials such as food or plant matter are left on the fabric surface for an extended period of time. In case of stubborn stains, it is safe to clean the Open-Air fabric with bleach.
Over time, teak develops a patina as it weathers. Brush off dirt following the grain to prevent scratches. Dampen with water and a lint-free cloth. Clean with industrial teak cleaner, following its instructions, using a soft cloth and sponge along the grain to avoid scratches. Rinse lightly with water and let dry.
Keep powder-coated surfaces clear of debris like bird droppings, mud, and leaves to prevent damage. Clean with warm water and mild detergent using a lint-free cloth or soft brush. Finish by wiping dry with a dry cloth.

Remember to mix household bleach with lukewarm water and detergent to create a solution. We recommend testing the solution on a hidden area before proceeding to clean the entire surface. When cleaning, it is best to treat the entire furniture piece to prevent any concentrated spots, water rings, or colour difference. Always thoroughly rinse the fabric and cushions with clean water before using them again and allow them to air dry completely. In rare cases where removing the covers from the furniture is necessary, we recommend machine washing them at a maximum temperature of 40°C and avoid tumble drying.
