The Bristol Chamber of Commerce held their annual Awards Celebration of 2020 on Friday, 17 January in the conference room of Holiday Inn in Bristol, Virginia.

JODY DUTCHER, BRAD ADAMS, AND BETH RHINEHART

The event was lead by Beth Rhinehart, President and CEO of the Bristol Chamber of Commerce. Greg Neal of Ballad Health, and the 2020 Chair of the Board invited all of the veterans and active duty members in attendance to join him by the stage to recite the Pledge of Allegiance before the ceremony proceeded.

Three local young women were invited to the stage for an interview panel by Jerry Caldwell of Bristol Motor Speedway, on how they would like to see Bristol improved in the coming years. The young women, each obviously on a path to an amazing future, offered their insights. One thing they all agreed upon was to create more opportunities for activities that families could do together in the city.

Jody Dutcher of Electro-Mechanical Corporation, as well as the 2019 Chair of the Board, presented the awards.

Several caterers provided attendees of the event with a variety of options to choose from for the meal, including two local businesses; Bristol Gardens & Grill, and Delta Blue BBQ, who wowed the Conference Center with their dishes.

As the oldest accredited chamber in the state of Tennessee, and the second oldest in Virginia, the board members respected the time honored tradition of passing the gavel from the furthest to the most recent Chair holders.

The ceremony closed after Dutcher passed the gavel on to Neal, relinquishing to him her former title as Chair of the Board.
