VIR WEBSITE UPDATE
Past President, Tim Evans VIR Website Update
Back in April 2021 we launched our new website. Since then it continues to be improved and additions made. The latest is our new Community Page which you can find under About Us. The community page was created to highlight our work in raising funds for different charities throughout Vancouver Island. They include the Cops for Cancer/tour de rock, Ucluelet Volunteer Fire Brigade, various food banks, and other charities. You can find more details on the website.

A few features that you may be interested in are the photo galleries from past events and checking out the calendar of events to see what is coming up, both on Vancouver Island and in other regions that are open to our members. One of my favourites is to peruse the old newsletters that go back to when our region was first created in 1996, makes for interesting reading and you may recognize some of the members that are still active today. A reminder that a lot of content on the website is available to members only so you will need to register to get the full benefit. When you do register and create your profile don’t forget to post a picture of your car. I see a lot of registered members have not done this. It is very easy to login and update your profile to keep it current. I encourage you to take a look at the website to keep up to date on club activities and give us feedback. https://virpca.org:452/VIRPCA/Home The website is maintained by our webmaster Dave Nickel along with the developer Karl Hoerner - both are club members and volunteers. If you have any questions about the website and its content please contact Dave at webmaster@virpca.org and he will be happy to assist you. Tim
