Overcoming WorkPlace Objections Below is a list of some of the common concerns or objections of potential customers around the WorkPlace proposition along with our responses to these. Cost is too high Comparisons show that current companies who have already made this change are saving money when hardware, software, and support costs are all taken into account. Typically we see a cost-only justification for customers that have 35 or more users. For customers that are smaller than that, they probably will have higher costs with WorkPlace but will get additional functionality, performance and recoverability. The cost for WorkPlace scales up and down with your company size making the monthly expenses predictable. When combined with the increased features and reliabilities of this system, the costs of continuing with traditional desktop and server systems can be much greater when factoring the risks of downtime and data loss. If cost was not an issue, would you still be interested? We just bought new servers and do not want to give up on our current investment That’s perfectly understandable. We have the ability to migrate many of your software licenses to decrease costs on the new system and have a buy-back program to give you credit for current server equipment. Additionally, we implement each company’s systems in a seamless manner to minimize changes in how you use your technology. I have heard that the cloud is not safe Moving to a WorkPlace environment will increase the security of your current, on-site environment. WorkPlace servers are located in SAS70 Type II compliant data centers that have multiple physical and biometric security checkpoints. Redundant systems are used to ensure that data and applications are backed up and available. Critical data is stored in the data center so it is safe from laptop loss or theft and your technology is protected from spyware, and viruses. File permissions ensure that you can contain confidential information to just the employees who need access. Virsage physically separates our customers servers to achieve the highest level of security possible from a multi-tenant environment. Family friend or business associate has handled our IT issues for years Your IT person can still support your business applications and desktop hardware with a change to WorkPlace. Having a second resource for support protects you should your current provider move to somewhere else. Additionally our support team is available year round every day so you are not stuck if an individual takes a vacation or is sick. We do not have anyone who works remotely That’s fine, WorkPlace provides that option, but there are many benefits beyond remote access. Do the current systems in your office have off-site backups, antivirus, and web-filters? Corporate handles IT Who is your point of contact there? We would like to tell them how this could be a benefit for your locale and others. We are under contract with another IT company That’s great that you have someone to help you. You can use WorkPlace and still have them provide support for your applications and desktops, or we can put together a demo & proposal and you can see how much money you could be saving. We are not quick to adopt new technology WorkPlace is based on technologies that have been in use for almost 20 years in large enterprises but only recently has become available at a price point that is targeted at small and medium business. rn platforms so that look and feel is the same, but with greater reliability and support
Overcoming WorkPlace Objections Below is a list of some of the common concerns or objections of potential customers around the WorkPlace proposition along with our responses to these. We already have the “cloud” There are many cloud services that are compatible with our systems and we can help simplify the cloud-based services you already have and decrease your expenses. Can you tell me about what systems you are currently using? We use DropBox or Google Docs and it suits our needs While these are cloud based services like WorkPlace, they only address a small portion of the feature set of a Desktop as a Service solution and also have very limited customer support. That is great, you can use these systems with the WorkPlace environment to supplement the technology needs that these platforms cannot fulfill. We do not want to adapt to a new environment because of time and training Because WorkPlace is built on common windows operating system and software, there is very little change in look and feel for your companies to adjust to. WorkPlace is really just the next step in the evolution of your current network. We provide training and support so employees become productive in the new system the same day as the transition. Not sure how this will save me money and increase productivity We have a Total Cost of Ownership tool that quickly communicates if WorkPlace can provide an immediate cost savings. Let’s setup a demo then so I can show you how having a more reliable and secure system can increase productivity and show how this system will save money versus the cycle of purchasing hardware, software, and support for your systems. Your company does not understand my industry We have over 12 years of experience with customers in almost every industry. Let’s talk about some of the specific applications you are using and we can setup a demo as proof of concept for you. Industry list: Manufacturing, accounting, financial investment, banking, scientific, hospitality, retail, international, service, high-tech, medical, e-commerce, publishing, restaurant, engineering, non-profit We are happy with our current system WorkPlace supports your existing applications. We can migrate software and add additional features so you still have your current systems, only improved. I do not like technology I understand, that is why we are making technology better. If you have a few minutes for a demo, I think you might be surprised I have heard that web applications are too slow Cloud services rely on your Internet connection, we can help test your Internet connection to make sure you are getting sufficient speeds. Because computing happens on servers, opening programs and running computationally intensive applications is often faster than on a desktop computer. Let us setup a demo so you can see how fast your desktop will be inside WorkPlace. I do not understand this technology The beauty of Virsage WorkPlace is that it simplifies your current technology investment so you don’t need Bill Gates to run your business. Let us setup a demo and I can show you how this system uses the Internet and cloud technology to provide your business with all of its computer needs.
