Vishal Panchigar has gained a wealth of hands-on experience through his internships and volunteer work. One of his most impactful experiences was at the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital in Tampa, where he observed the delivery of comprehensive healthcare services to veterans. This role allowed him to deepen his understanding of the mental, physical, and emotional health needs of this critical population. His experiences here further solidified his desire to pursue a career where he can positively influence healthcare outcomes for underserved communities. He also served as a Physician Observer at Tampa General Hospital, where he first discovered his passion for patient care. Working alongside seasoned healthcare professionals gave him unique insights into the intricacies of hospital operations and the importance of patient-centered care. His work at the Florida Cardiovascular Institute as a Data Entry Assistant also provided him with a strong background in healthcare research and data management, essential skills in today's data-driven healthcare industry. Vishal's research interests extend to innovative healthcare solutions. He has conducted significant research on space utilization in multi-specialty health clinics, analyzing how healthcare spaces can be optimized to improve patient flow and increase efficiency. Another critical project was his white paper titled "Apple + Healthcare: How and Why Your Apple iOS Data Should be Linked to Your Electronic Health Records." This innovative project explored the potential of integrating personal health data from mobile devices with electronic health records to create a seamless healthcare experience for patients and providers alike.
