PROJECT 1 : Residence Design
DESIGN CONCEPTION Since the site is sorrounded by lush greenery with a river on the northern side, the main idea was to integrate the house with its sorroundings, and use the river as an added advantage for providing visual connection to the breathtaking views. The house potrays a grandeur facade owing to the clients economic status. The rear of the house forms the main element, with a cantelevered portico towards the direction of the river, constructed above the wooden deck of the swimming pool. The dining in the ground floor is open, to ensure the flow of soothing winds and hence providing a serene atmosphere and a fine dining experience.

PROJECT 2 : Highway Restaurant
PROJECT 2 : Highway Restaurant
DESIGN CONCEPTION Highway is always related to motion, moving vehicles. The way in which an approaching vehicle sees the building, is the basis of the overall form. The use of strong geometry and bold planes to attract and arrest the attention of fast-moving highway vehicles from a distance, through the play of varying silhouette, material, texture, color and form is the basis of the concept. A comforting landscape and a sculpture-like mass will invite the tired traveler in, offer a pause period and a time of bonding, and rejuvenate their senses, before they restart their journey.

GaganBagh - Sky Gardens
Brief
Objective
Software Used
The brief poses a challenge of re-evolving through revolution, which in its true sense could be brought about by creating spatial harmonies. They expressed their necessity for a recreational space that would serve the purpose of a leisure cum activity area, supposedly a ‘centre for human interaction’.
To rehabilitate the severed connection between various typologies of the city, the emergent space is deemed as the bridge between these typologies. - Tourists and Residents - Traditional Architecture and Modernist Architecture - Technology and Nature

SITE ANALYSIS Mysuru, rich in cultural diversity has a multitude of architectural marvels and traditions which were developed indigenously and continue to fluorish till date. Tourism is the prime asset for the city’s economy, drawing time, energy and attention of the corporation towards it. All these factors zeroed down on selecting an apt site in the chosen city - Mysore. Three sites were chosen based on requirements, and Site-B was chosen. It lies in a straight line with the Chamundi Hills, the Jaganmohan palace, the Mysore Maharaja Palace and the Kukkarahalli Lake. Since the site is in vicinity to a major Residential zone, Student zone and Tourist zone, it will attract all age groups. Hosting a human interaction center at this site would solve the problem of isolation at night, improving the vibrancy of this locality.
CLIMATE ANALYSIS The following diagram shows the path of the sun during different months of the year, and also the direction of wind flowing in the zeroed down site. These aspects will be used to determine the optimum conditions for placing elements in the decided site, which will be conceptually zoned according to their climatological requirement.

DESIGN CONCEPTION The centre for Interaction proposed for the residents of Mysuru is determined to create revolution by re-evolving the heart of the city to its worthy location. With an ambition to bring back the attention of Mysuru to its prime human component, the emergent design serves as a bridge between various natures irrespective of their background. The incipient environment holds a structure that aptitudes to emphasize the city, an iconic element explaining Mysuru and its very layers through every zone extenuating the space. Ingrained with the city, the design will be an abode to the Mysoreans; pertinent to its spatial needs. More than a symbol, the design is believed to be a budding thought in every household whilst informing the inhabitants about the city.

PixelSquare - Pixelated City Square
Brief
Objective

Parallel projection levels all indentations to a singular surface, to the extent that it denies the perception of actual form. Hence, what we see might not be what actually exists. Further, assuming that the image of cities we have is different from what it might actually be, the brief suggests that we reimagine a city in an entirely different way from the general interpretation of it.
The main objective is to change the way we perceive a city, and to use this perception to improve the city. This can be done by a comprehensive proposal covering all aspects of design

PROJECT AIM Movement signifies life. Extrapolating this consequence to what was presented in the brief, it is evident that a city is identified with its motion. The motion that occurs in the city shapes up its character and adds life. City in Motion : Moving through the city bares her soul to a careful observer. The pace, direction and purpose of travel reveals different versions of the city's character, which contributes to form a complex dynamism that keeps evolving through time and space. Ooty : Ooty, the Queen of Hills is nestled among the Nilgris mountains. She wears jewels of natural beauty in the form of the botanical gardens, the Dodabetta Hills - The highest peak in South India and also holds exemplary colonial architecture of the British periods in 1800's that has blended with her surrounding providing a quaint character to the overall experience. Tourism is the economic backbone of the city.
SITE INFERENCE
CITY - MOTIONLESS & DEAD
The site is located at the focal point of all interactions, at the heart of the city. All major tourist attractions are located within a two kilometre radius from the site which makes it the converging point of all motion of the city. The site serves as an access point to the city.
MAP SHOWING MOTION ENTROPY OF VARIOUS TYPES IN OOTACAMUND
BUS CAR TOURIST LOCALS
CITY - LIVELY
The major issue is to readdress chaos in this location due to excess crowding and traffic. The city that holds serenity and calmness as her strongholds provides a less than enticing welcome to her guests. The aim is to retain all the existing functionalities and add more but imposing an order of tranquility at the approach, thereby reducing chaos and improving the aesthetic appeal, As a point of initial contact to tourists, it is necessary to decongest the space.

DESIGN GENESIS EVOLUTION Identification of nodal points in site and developing a connection with straight lines.
Lines become interactive pixelated pathways made of different materials depending on the nodes they connect, thus guiding the pedestrians.
Pixel scatter developed to create transition spaces around the existing pathway, creating a complex psychological geometry to channel the crowd Additional pixel scatters made as seating spaces along and around the pathways thus forming the proposed space
Congestion due to interaction of pedestrian and vehicular movement Information centre acting as the central node of the site
Bifurcation of pedestrian movement by introducing a layer in betweeen
Introduced layer placed on ground level, pushing vehicular layer undergound Roads Going underground, below the proposed space
Final output, with the proposed pedestrian space at ground level and vehicular movement underground Pathways connecting the nodal points.
Pixel scatter forming the transition space
