Do's and Don’ts for Digital Signature Certificate Usage by Passport Seva Subscribers Do’s All Subscribers should:1. Forward the duly completed Application form along with supporting documents to the RA Office [Passport Seva Project, TCS Noida]. 2. Ensure to change the default password. 3. Intimate RA Administrator [Passport Seva Security Team] regarding any changes to the digital signature certificate viz. Revocation or Re-issuance or Renewal. 4. Inform the RA Administrator immediately in case of loss of Token along with copy of identity proof for revocation. Apply for new issuance of the Digital Signature Certificate along with DSC Application Form and FIR copy. 5. Provide a written letter or email (own government Email id) along with ID proof, in case if the Digital Signature Certificate is to be revoked due to any reason such as loss of token , damage token or resignation from the organization in order to take necessary action. 6. Send additional DSC, if any, back to RA administrator immediately.
Don’ts All subscribers should not:1. Share the Digital Signature certificate with others or let it be used by them on your behalf. 2. Reveal your Digital Signature Certificate password or USB Token PIN to anyone. 3. Delete certificate from token within the validity period. If subscriber wants to delete the certificate, permission have to be taken from RA administrator . 4. Try to break/destroy the crypto token. 5. Send Incomplete/Inconsistent application for DSC issuance.
