How to Live Beyond 9-5

Below is a list of ways I coach my clients to Live Beyond 9 to 5: 1. DeClutter your Mind...focus on your What’s Next. Spend some quiet time with yourself and begin to Journal your Journey. 2. Push yourself away from your desk and breathe. Get connected to your Vision as you Dreamed It

written by: Pam Stone If asked about Living beyond 9 to 5, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Here are some of the responses: Family Side hustle Worked someone else's dream Fitness Traveling Unsure Living my best life Vision/Dream Living beyond 9 to 5 (you see) has several meanings. Please note there are no right or wrong answers. When I hear living beyond 9 to 5, the first thing that pops into my mind is...what is my What’s Next.

3. Stop Procrastinating; why do you put off tomorrow when you can do it today. Create daily goals and celebrate reached goals. 4. Face Fear- fear is created because of the unknown, uncertainty. Talk about your fear to your supporters and tribe. 5. Vision Board; Create a new vision board every quarter. The reason being goal change often. 6. Money Relationship- know your money, create a budget and have it work for you. 7. Work-life balance- here is where I say use a calendar. The calendar can be paper or electronic. Within the calendar, use the time blocking method. No matter how you choose to live beyond 9 to 5. Just do it and live your life. Don't procrastinate and start working on your What’s Next. On the next page is the Vision Made Worksheet. Take the worksheet, spend some time, and write your What’s Next living beyond 9-5. After you complete the worksheet, post it in front of you. This is a constant reminder of your goals. Of course, these are only a few strategies that I use during our coaching relationship. If you would like to talk about how you are going to live beyond 9 to 5, email me at visionmademagazine@gmail.com, and in the subject line, type living beyond 9 to 5.

TIP #1 Organize your desk. if you can only have one space in your home that feels focused and organized, your desk is the first place to start. Creating a calm space can help you feel motivated, inspired, and free to focus on the tasks at hand.

HOME OFFICE TIPS

YOU’LL FEEL A LOT BETTER IF IT LOOKS ORGANIZED.

Adding a few decorative items or wall organization above the desk can be a great way to put your thoughts in front of you. Whiteboards, cork boards, or even sticky notes. TIP #2 Surround yourself with beauty. Find a few favorite things including candles, wall art, succulent plants are inexpensive ways to brighten the area where you work and bring inspiration and clear thoughts. We love Himalayan salt rock lamps. TIP #3 Inspiration boards. Along with organizing your tasks or calendar, adding inspiration to your workspace is a great motivator. We include some wonderful quotes and positive words and graphics that you can print or tear out as keepsakes for your inspiration board.

It Started with Epic Clutter Written byTecca Thompson: I first met Pam at the 2020 Vision Boarding Event. She was a featured speaker for the day but I noticed her as soon as I walked in the door. I walked over to her table and picked up her book, and I was intrigued she called herself the 360 declutter coach. So many areas of my life needed decluttering, in fact, I came to the event hoping to find some clarity and to dust off and revive some of my old dreams. If you have ever met Pam or had a conversation with her for very long, you will know she is big on power words. A word that gives your focus, reminds you of your goals and where you want to go. When she took the center stage, she had a t-shirt on that said EPIC in sparkling letters. She declared 2020 was going to be an epic year for her. I listened closely and took very precise notes from her presentation, it resonated with me, decluttering my life, having a vision and purpose even if you are a woman in your 40’s-,50’s or beyond. I wanted more, I wanted to get to know her and by the time she finished her presentation, I was inspired and I had two pages of detailed notes on how I could declutter my life and find my vision. My little pink notebook said: "Getting clutter out of your life clears up all areas of your life including financially" 1. Get started! 2. Use a schedule to organize and prioritize your efforts. 3. Block scheduling is great. 4. Talk to your tribe about what you need to be supported in your goals. 5. Plan purposely 6. Celebrate yourself. The next day, I started to apply the steps she had given in her presentation. I made a complete plan to declutter each room in my house. I asked for support from my family and started looking at how I could manage my time more effectively. 30 days later in February, I booked a discovery session with her. I thought to myself If I could receive this much motivation and inspiration from a few pages of notes, how much further could I go if I hired her as a coach? The discovery session was encouraging and affirming. Pam looked at the decluttering plan I had developed from the instruction she had given at the Vision Boarding Event and she said this is great, I see you have it all here. She told me I had done a wonderful job at making the plan. Then she hit me with one of her favorite questions, what is stopping you from putting this plan into action? What is keeping you from doing it? I laughed, we both laughed because I did not have an answer. Pam is incredibly supportive and so practical in her approach to helping women discover their vision. She is huge on accountability but always makes you feel like your goals are attainable if you do not give up. Once again, I left feeling like I wanted more time with Pam. I wanted to hire her as my personal mentor and coach. I went home and reviewed my finances, and that time it just was not an option for me.

By March, like many people I was working from home and trying to adjust and understand living life in a Pandemic. Most of my days were filled with fear and anxiety. Then one day, I picked that little pink notebook up and found my decluttering plan. The very next day, I started putting the plan in action and my entire life started to shift. The first few things that happened when I decluttered my closet was I found twenty dollars, a brand new pair of boots, and a fit-bit I had lost 6 months earlier. I message Pam, she congratulated me and encouraged me to keep going. The more I declutter, the more motivated I became to work on other goals. I developed a budget, purchased additional life insurance, in a very short time I was saving money and reaching financial goals that had been elusive and unattainable in the past. I started writing again and telling stories. I was able to move from an apartment into a house. I message Pam again, she explained to me that decluttering was a physical process, but also spiritual as well. Getting rid of the clutter opened my heart and space for success. By the way, the power words I selected at the vision boarding event were BOLD CONFIDENCE. Finally, right at the end of 2020, I hired Pam as my business coach. Within weeks, with bold confidence and her support, I launched my business Scared Healing Spaces, a connection-centered service assisting women of color in reconnecting with their bodies and repairing their relationship with rest and self-care.

HEALTH

It’s wintertime, which for a lot of the United States means that it’s cold and possibly snowy. It’s cloudy, it’s gray, it’s dreary. Your energy is near nil. What do you do? My solution - start off by going for a walk. But it’s cold out...but it’s snowy...but it’s… Yes, I know. For those of us in the upper midwest, winter is here for quite a few months to deal with. Here are a few solutions. It’s cold out. Ok, this is what you do:

1. The first thing to do is to dress in layers. When you layer up, you can then take layers off when you get warm. Your bottom layer should be a moisture-wicking layer. This will help with absorbing any sweat so that you don’t get a chill. If the layers zip, it will make it easier to take them off as you are walking. Also, remember that you will have to carry those layers while you are out walking. When I start getting warm, I will take off my outer layer and tie it around my waist. 2. Make sure to have your head covered, because you want to retain as much body heat as possible. The fewer spots that are not covered, the better to keep your body heated. The easiest way is with a hat or a hood. The advantage of having an attached hood is that you also get a nice warm neck. Otherwise, you will want to add a scarf to the items to keep your neck warm. 3. Keeping your fingers covered and warm is also important. My favorite way is to wear those cute convertible mittens. You know the ones that have the flip top where they are mittens but you can flip them and they are fingerless gloves. If your hands get too warm, you can just flip the top, cool them off, and cover them back up when needed. Plus, you can easily operate your phone with them flipped up.

For the opposite end of the body, you will want to keep your feet warm. Which socks do you choose? There are so many of them out on the market. The very best for you will be what works for your feet. 1. There are quite a few out on the market that has moisture-wicking material. One important thing to consider is how tall of a sock to choose. Have you ever had your socks scoot down while you are out walking? If you are outside and it’s cold, who wants to take off their shoe to adjust their sock? I certainly don’t. Make sure that they cover your ankles and are not apt to scoot down into your shoes. More skin-covered is best for retaining body heat. Plus, when the socks scoot down into your shoes you can end up with blisters. My best advice with socks is to buy a few different types and see which one works best for you. Once you find your favorite pair (yes, you will find that you have a favorite pair of socks), you will want to buy quite a few more pairs to have on hand (or foot, as it were). 2. One popular question is what shoes should I wear? This one is year-round, but especially in winter. Stick with your regular shoes, but make sure that your socks will keep your feet warm and dry. There are actually hand, body, toe, and foot warmers These can last up to 8 hours, depending on the brand. So, if you are one of those that have a hard time with their hands and feet getting cold no matter what they do I suggest you will want to try a pair or two out. PAGE 8 VISION MADE | 2021

3. Unless there’s a blizzard going on, you can still go out in the snow. The only time I don’t recommend going out in the snow, aside from the blizzard, is when it’s that rain/snow mix that can easily transition to ice. The trick is when it’s still icy out but is nice and sunny. What do you do then? This is where you go and get yourself a pair of yaktrax. What are yaktrax? These are traction cleats for your shoes and they work great in ice and snow. Yaktrax will stretch over the bottom of your shoes to help you get traction. They are small and compact enough to carry in your bag so that you are always prepared. Now you are all ready to get up and go walking. Where do you walk at though? 1. Some of the greatest places to walk are close to home. The easiest is to step right out your front door and walk down your sidewalk. However, I know that after a while, that may get boring or maybe you don’t have sidewalks, then what? 2. Check out your local walking trail or park. There are a few things you need to know before heading out there. Is there a place for you to use the restroom that is open. Not all parking lots for trails will have them open in the winter. Be sure to check out the times that the trail is open, quite often it is sunrise to sunset, but make sure. Read the signs to make sure you can park there and if there are any requirements such as a parking permit, time limit, closing times, or if dogs are allowed. This is important to know ahead of time so that you know if you can bring your dog or not. Make sure to bring along the poop bag and dispose of it in a trash container or take it home to dispose of it. 3. Keep our dog on a leash and on the RIGHT side of the trail. Don’t allow them to wander across the centerline as others may be coming up behind you and suddenly pass on the left. 4. If you’re going to wear headphones or earbuds, make sure you just use the RIGHT ear, and leave the left one out This way you’ll be able to be aware of your surroundings (and still hear your music or programs) AND maybe avoid being run over by a jogger or biker on the trail passing on your left. You’ve done all the above and you’re still bored or are at least seeking something a bit more exciting. Where do you go looking for new adventures? I have found a few places that are my go-to places to find greater adventure and walks. 1. The first place I go to in order to find trails, both local and at a distance is TrailLink by Rails-toTrails Conservancy. This website will help you find your next adventure, no matter what state you live in or are visiting. On this website, you can find trails by activity, which will help you know if you can bring your dog ahead of time. Plus, you get all kinds of information about the trails including trail description, photos, where to park, trail map, length of the trail, and what activities that trail has. You can make a free profile and save your trails or for $29.99/year you can also get offline trail maps, create custom guidebooks, print-friendly PDF trail guides, find nearby restrooms, and driving directions to where you are to park. There are other similar apps, such as AllTrails, which also has a free and paid account with many similar features. Plus, you can also search for your particular state to see what they have. Michigan has an interactive map for each region of the state. Even with all of this, I know you are saying, but I don’t feel like getting all dressed up to go walking outside. There are some other options both free and paid. 1. You can go to your local mall and walk inside. Right now there are some restrictions, depending on your state. You will want to contact your mall to see what the requirements are and if they have some special hours just for mall walkers. Some malls even have walking clubs with special discounts or gear. They should also be able to tell you what the distance is for each level of the mall. PAGE 9

WALKING HEALTHY CORNER

The disadvantage of walking in the mall is that you see all the stores and what their sales are. Some people have told me that it is way too tempting for them to go walking in the mall as they tend to have to go in and shop. While at the mall, I have been known to finish up with a great lunch. You can make this as healthy or unhealthy as you like. Get a treat for yourself. 2. If you don’t want the temptation of shopping then there is another option for you, get a gym membership. Some gyms will only have treadmills available while others may have a track. If they have a track, then you’ll need to know how many laps will equal a mile. Treadmills are a great option for some, although I know that some are not comfortable on the treadmill. Personally, I prefer an elliptical over a treadmill. With a gym membership, there are options. The thought of getting a gym membership can be intimidating for some though. Let’s go over some of the things you are going to want to check out for your membership before signing up. You will want to know what the monthly membership cost is and what all is included: classes, equipment, trainer, towels, etc. The next thing to find out is what are the club’s hours? Do those work for when you can go to the gym in your schedule? How far away from your home and/or work is the club? The closer it is, the greater the chance that you will go. Do they have enough equipment or are you going to be waiting for equipment? Is it in your budget? Is there someone available to answer your questions if you have any? Are there any promotional or programs that have a reduced or free membership? If you’re on medicare, the SILVER SNEAKERS program offers free memberships for seniors. There are still other options for you both indoors and outdoors, depending on the area that you are in. Where do you find those? I use TripAdvisor to find all kinds of great places from parks to museums to other activities. This is where you can search your local area or someplace you are traveling to. I plan full trips on it and make sure to put our activities into it. When you search in TripAdvisor, first search in the city and state that you are going to walk in and then click on Things To Do. This is where you will find parks, museums, and fun places to visit. I have used this for finding things to do both in the state I live in and the one I am planning to visit. Now that we have gone through all the places that you can go walking in the winter, why do you need to go walking in the winter or any time of year? The biggest reason to go for a walk during the winter is to walk away those winter blues. Walking helps you reduce anxiety and depression. You can accomplish this by taking short walks or long walks. Both will help you. PAGE 10 VISION MADE | 2021

The advantage of walking at the mall is that it is temperature regulated and you don’t have to worry about it being slippery, at least not inside of it. Plus, if it’s a nice day out, you can always walk the outside of the mall.

HEALTH

When out walking, this is a great time to get your creative mind going. It gets you away from the TV, away from the computer, and gets you up off that couch. You can take your phone with you, but don’t walk and text at the same time or walk and read your phone. You may end up walking into something. If you do need to look at your phone, be sure to get off the trail or out of the way of others. During the winter, because we are typically indoors more, our immune system starts to nose dive. One way to boost your immune system is to get walking, especially outdoors. Take in some of those rays of sunshine to build up that Vitamin D. When you sit too much, you end up snacking and putting on those pounds, little by little. When you are up walking, you will curb your sweet tooth and burn calories. It’s a win-win situation. Who doesn’t want to burn more calories? Also, the hillier the route, the more calories that you will burn. Take that scenic route and enjoy the outdoors at the same time. Now, it’s time to get up and start moving. One foot in front of the other, as they say. Now that you’re armed with a few tips on safety and some ideas on how to get started, go forth and enjoy the outdoors (or the indoors) as you walk your way to a healthier and happier YOU ! …. THE FUTURE IS NOW

Melissa C. Morehead, YOUR Fear Fighter Coach

Can I tell you something, I do not believe we will never get back to “normal”? Normal in the dictionary is defined as such, conforming to a standard; usual, typical, or expected. Let us take this walk together down memory lane as to what “normal” appeared like pre-covid-19.

How often in the past ten (10) months have we heard or even said ourselves, I cannot wait until we get back to normal. (Just a side note, you are not alone.) I have said it many times during this pandemic. Can I tell you something, I do not believe we will never get back to “normal”? Normal in the dictionary is defined as such, conforming to a standard; usual, typical, or expected. Let us take this walk together down memory lane as to what “normal” appeared like pre-covid-19. Normal for the average individual was lack of family time due to schoolwork for children, extra-curricular activities, carpool, business trips which equate to time away from home and other loved ones. High school and college graduates were not held in a conventional way, they were celebrated with a drive-by, a honk of the horn, and a card if you were lucky. Wedding celebrations became a live-stream event with the bride, groom, and officiant. Family from near and far logged in while witnessing what God has brought together. Our loved ones who died, their life was celebrated in a way that was unimaginable. Some of us had to pay our respects live stream, while only the immediate family could attend the in-person social distancing services. No longer were we able to attend indoor gatherings in a crowd while laughing out loud, singing out loud, and dancing in groups. Let us not forget the affection that we all miss so much and that is a hug. Who would have thought that a hug, the one form of nonverbal communication would be something that we crave every day? Now we as a community, as a tribe, We are getting everyone adapted to what now must be done, and that is chaining our mindset to the future. As a little girl growing up in Southern Indiana, I would hear adults say, just wait until the future.

PAGE 14 VISION MADE | 2021

PEOPLE

As a child, my imagination would wander off to a faraway land, and I would think of the television shows like The Jetsons or Star Trek. Fast forward 49 years was I wrong, but I am sure in my granddaughter’s lifetime, that will be their normal. During this time of uncertainty, we must change our mindset and shift it towards the future. Your future may not look like my future and my future may not look like yours. However, the one thing that is certain is that we can get through this future together. As a Fear Fighter Life Coach, I teach my clients how to overcome fear. We must know that fear overrides your focus for your life, purpose, and destiny. It is easy to say that you are not alone, or we are in this together. We must maneuver through words and show action. An action that will make a change, an action that encourages, and an action that uplifts. An action that catapults us to our own, What’s Next. We can do that by the following below: 1.Change. There are several things in life that we know will occur and one of them is change. This is something that we all resist from the smallest thing to the biggest thing that has a huge impact in and around our lives. Our minds have been “wired” to resist change. We resist the change of seasons, we resist the change of what even happens to our beautiful bodies, the older we get. We as women can get to the next step of our future if we embrace the change that is coming or the season of change that we are already in. Far too often, we are stuck in a cycle of change or have no one to encourage us when we accept change. 2.Challenge Yourself. If you are like me, you can find when challenging yourself, it can be overwhelming and even difficult. If this pandemic has not taught us anything else, we can say that we are still learning how to maneuver through difficult times and tasks. Now is not the time to become obsessed with everything being perfected.

However, it is time to not only change our mindset but to master a new skill. During the early stages of the pandemic (depending on the state you lived in) we all became the next MasterChef, embracing our chef skills, trying new recipes and even beverages. Do not stop operating out of your new area of comfort. Continue what you have started remembering it is a challenge. Also, during this time, help yourself to identify your personal and professional goals, update your resume’, learn a new language, start a podcast or master a new skill. Do something that makes you uncomfortable to be made and become comfortable. 3. Surround yourself with positivity. Now more than ever, this is one word that I do believe everyone needs right now. The past year has taken a toll on our vocabulary, meaning we have found it quite difficult to see or say anything that has positivity attached to it or even be positive. If I can just say, we have all been stretched to our point of no return. Although it can seem impossible to surround ourselves with positivity, it can be done.

According to Merriam-Webster, positivity means the quality of being positive. Newsflash, you do not have to have human interaction in order to surround yourself with positivity. Positivity can be in the form of reading a new book, listening to a self-help audible book, creating a vision board, and taking a break from technology and social media. One that is easiest to do, take a break and relax! Light candles, grab a glass of wine, listen to your favorite artist, and surround yourself in relaxation in the same atmosphere of positivity. Find meaning in what is important. Spend time trying to sort out what is important in your life and why it is important in your life.

PAGE 15 VISION MADE | 2021

PEOPLE

Do not let the pandemic cheat you out of the positive in life. Remember it is always the little things that can bring more positivity than the big things. There is a quote from Mark Twain that we have seen plastered on notebooks, picture frames, t-shirts, and so many other accessories to name a few. It says, “Sing like no one is listening, Love like you never been hurt, Dance like no one is watching and Live like it is heaven on earth.” 4. Disconnect from Being Overconnected. The last several months have been a constant roller coaster of emotions from pings going off on all electronic devices from smartphones to tablets. Notifications alerts regarding the latest COVID-19 update to social just unrest that affected all of us in some way shape or form. To be effective, we must “power off” from the world of technology. Multitasking has become the new normal. We are bombarded with news and information almost every minute with only few to little chances to escapes. Social media adds additional pressure and anxiety.

The moment a tragedy occurs or has occurred, the headlines pop up non-stop in our news feed. The continuous swipe in the direction of up, down, left, and right of news on our electronic devices leaves us feeling disconnected from society but under pressure and strain from technology. A Swedish study was conducted, and it has shown that young people who use technology on a daily basis are at a higher risk for mental health problems like depression, stress, and sleep disorders, just to name a few. It has also been shown that older men and women suffered from stress and sleep disorders as well. Some even experience PTSD from events that occurred to them in the past forcing them to relive bad memories through current events. When we find yourself in a situation of wanting and needing to unplug, do not be afraid to seek counsel for doing so.

We must keep knowing it is okay to acknowledge when it is not okay. I do believe we need to go back to the days where we go to bed, and our parents or grandparents would say “ No reading at night. Turn light off.” In this day and age of technology, we should now say “No scrolling at night. Turn the screen off.” 5. Know your worth. How often have we become uncertain of our purpose and waiting to know our worth? When is the last time that you have taken the time to find the answer? Newsflash, it is nested in the heart of your soul just waiting for you to find it.

It is not hard to do, sometimes in life, we must do as Nike® says and “Just Do It” and if I may add, you also must do it with fear. Although finding answers while fearful can be a challenge to some. Embrace your fear and know your worth. This goes back to reinventing yourself. Ask the self the question of what you like, what you do not like, what makes you angry, sad, happy, and glad. Once you find the answers to those questions, you will be able to find your worth, examine your worth, and know your worth. It is amazing that you know your own worth before someone must tell you what you are worth. When I mention the word worth, I am not equating it to a monetary amount, but it is defined as how you see yourself. As I stated earlier update your resume’, get involved in a grassroots organization, or better yet, create one. In order for people to value your worth, they must hear your voice!

6. Embrace the losses to experience the wins . In life, there are losses and wins, ups and downs. As humans, we are emotional creatures who tend to dwell on the losses and downs; we rarely celebrate our wins as well as our ups. It is in those times we acknowledge that the hardest things in life give and display the biggest rewards and outcomes. When you are faced with the difficulty of a loss, you want to give in, believe me, I know personally. Push through and find strength in the difficulty. You might ask how to find inner strength. Take time to focus and spend time talking out loud (setting the atmosphere) in saying the affirmations. Remind yourself that you are not only beautiful but effective. Remind yourself that you are not only wanted but needed for such a time as this. Remind yourself that you are not only beautiful but effective.

Remind yourself that you are gifted with clarity, purpose, and thought. Doing this will give your future the clarity that you are looking for and needing. Remember it is not about functioning in the environment of the past. It is about shaping your own, let go of the past thinking of losing and set your mind on winning. As a coach, I remind my clients to always remember to set both boundaries and balances. Boundaries allows you to have control and take control of who you let into your space mentally, emotionally, and physically. Balances allows you to control how long he or she will be in your space occupying the time that you have allowed them to be there. During these times of uncertainty in our world, unrest in our society, and now more than ever you need to learn to take a detour in life. While taking a detour, notice what has changed on the route called life. As I started out with this article, know that the day is gone of “business as usual”. Enjoy the path to the future of what is to come. The world is waiting on you to explore what it has to offer. The world is waiting on you to embrace what is has to offer. The world is waiting for you to show up now because the future is now!

Ask Pam... Quarterly we will sit down with an empowering woman and talk with her about life passion, her business, and her What’s Next. It was suggested by several people that I should be the person to be interviewed for this issue. So, I reached out to no other than Aleaisa Hurt, CEO of Hurtnpoet LLC to conduct the interview. I hope the questions and listed below encourage you to kick the What If's and I Can’ts and motivate you to go after your What’s Next. Question: Can you describe Pam Stone in one word and what keeps her up at night? My Answer: My one word is Connection Question: How does that keep you up at night? My Answer: I’m always making sure my message is conveyed to my target audience. Meaning the wording and the message is uplifting and motivating always. Question: Give us a bit about your background (WHY)? My Answer: My Why is on several levels. The first level was to create a legacy for my daughter and my grandkids. See I want them to know that they can go and do anything you want. To also know that with hard work and persistence any and all things are possible. The next level for creating this was to be an example for women 40 and older. That if I can do it they can do it. My secret sauce is determination. If something doesn’t work out the time, just tweak it a little bit and go after it again. Question: What is your firm’s values and how would a potential client have related to that value? Answer: My value is helping women see their vision by creating a building plan to go after their purpose fearlessly. By creating 1. Vision Plan 2. Mindset Training 3. Life SWOT Analysis

Question: What would you say was your biggest failure and what did you learn from it? Answer: My biggest failure was not having confidence in myself. Which then turned into me becoming a people pleasure. Let me tell you looking back, being a people pleasure is exhausting and draining. You know what I mean.????? (LOL) In it all I didn’t know who I was, until I started doing some soul searching. I started doing work on me but losing weight and keeping it off. Now don’t get me wrong I’ve fallen off, but I am back on me. Question: What’s one thing you wish you knew when you begin this journey? My Answer: To trust the process. It’s going to be hard and not everyone is to stay with you during the journey. I feel that was the hardest part for me to realize and that everyone and everything has a season. Question: If I was a tree, what kind of tree would I be and why? Answer: UMMMMMM…. I would have to say the Cherry Blossom tree.

Interview with Aleasia Hurt You know before it blooms into a beautiful tree there is this shell which is the limbs. The limbs are growing from the ground to the ground. That is a process and that takes time. During each obstacle, it still continues to grow. And the reward is the flowers growing all over and smelling good. Which I can say is the success of the magazine. Question: What simple change would you tell someone as their business coach? My Answer: I would offer two suggestions. One is to stay connected to your inner self. So many times, we as women focus on everything around us not focusing on us. So, keep grounded on you. For your business, stop worrying about what the next person is doing. Pay attention to what your business is doing and whom it is serving. I will never forget someone saying when you walk down the bread aisle how many different brands do you see? And you see Wonder Bread still continues to make bread. So, don’t stop.

Well, that is the end of the interview. I want to thank Aleasia Hurt for the interview and hope it has empowered you to go after your What’s Next.
