Where To Employ Your Reflective Decals There are so many usesof reflective decals. Some of the main reasons why use reflective decals, or reflective stickers, are emergency transportations, just like police and fire department cars, but also as emergency stickers in building structures which guide to a fire extinguisher or an emergency exit way, to name a couple.
In the previous 20 yrs., some usesour clients have used them for have been to place on the helmets of a US Navy Helicopter pilot squadron, as accessory stickers for bicycles, as well as graphics on commercial cars.
Some other companies have secured reflective decals just like unique advertising stickers - not just some aged bumper or window sticker, but the one which attracts your attention the moment your headlights hit it.
We've also manufactured full color digital photo reflective decals for realtors who required their signs to "pop" the time you drive passthem during the night.
There are several grades and producers of reflective vinyl. The USDOT(or United States Department of Transportation) demands at least a "prismatic" grade, and a "diamond grade" for school area, or danger areas. Engineer grade is the minimum reflective grade and is what we regularly use for most private consumer who is in need of helmet decals, or real estate signs, becausewe can print it on a digital printer. Diamond, or Prismatic, grades need to be screen-printed or decorated with an ECfilm, a translucent film that appears in about 8 diverse basic colors.
Most signs that one can see on the streets, or interstate freeways or around town, are developed with a sheet of aluminum that contains a reflective decal attached to it and then printed. But, if you are not under USDOTjurisdiction, you can manufacture reflective signs such as this with Engineer grade reflective decal material and it's a lot much less expensive.
