Barbados Sailing Week Barbados Horticultural Society Flower & Garden Show
The Caribbean race season’s opening regatta is now to be known as Round Barbados Sailing Week, which replaces its former title, the Mount Gay Round Barbados Series. Organised by Barbados Cruising Club in association with Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc., and Mount Gay, Round Barbados Sailing Week 2024 on January 13-24 is expected to once again attract top class competition.
This all-comers sprint around the island of Barbados traditionally takes place on Errol Barrow Day – a public holiday to celebrate the birthday of the first Prime Minister of Barbados and ‘Father of independence’.
The Barbados Independent Film Festival highlights the work of filmmakers, producers and actors from around the world.
The Festival provides a platform for independent films that embrace the power of storytelling to inform, inspire and entertain. The Festival will feature films and shorts that celebrate the power of resilience and humankind’s ability to overcome adversity.
Join our Annual Flower and Garden Show at the BHS Headquarters, Balls Plantation, Christ Church. We have many exciting activities planned for you including plant competitions, plant sales and clinics to diagnose any issues that you may have, demonstrations, craft and jewellery, books, knick knacks, music and of course, our world famous teas!

Holetown Festival USA Tour Polo
The Holetown Festival takes place in Holetown, Barbados, and celebrates the arrival of the first settlers in Holetown on February 17, 1627.
The week-long celebration occurs every year during mid-February and includes a number of activities which showcase the culture and traditions of Barbados. Events include folk singing and dancing, sports and games, street parades, markets, and food stalls that offer traditional Barbadian cuisine

Hosted by the Barbados Bridge League, the 29th Sun, Sea and Slams Bridge Tournament takes place at the Barbados Beach Club.
This annual Bridge Festival is a mix of friendly competition and keen rivalry that attracting players from all over the world, who come together to play bridge against the alluring backdrop of Barbados.

The LMS Masters World Cup is one of the Pinnacle Events on the Last Man Stands calendar, with the best of our Masters players (over 40) representing their country.

This is Barbados Agricultural Society’s annual Exhibition. Farmers, craft persons and processors of agricultural products are among the many exhibitors each year. Last year there were approximately 60,000 visitors over the three day show and over 250 exhibits running daily.
The National Agricultural Exhibition of Barbados promises to be one exciting weekend of fantastic products on sale and on display, keenly contested competitions between farmers, entertainment, demonstrations and so much more! Sandy Lane Gold Cup England Tour Polo
The Sandy Lane Gold Cup is one of the most prestigious events in the Eastern Caribbean horse racing calendar and, indeed, the biggest sporting events on the island.
Attracting visitors from all over the world, for many years both local and regional jockeys have competed here, including some top international jockeys and trainers, with thoroughbred horses the UK and North America - some owned by the world’s leading investors in thoroughbred racing - featured.

The RBC is the premier bodybuilding event in the Englishspeaking region of the CACFBC. This event is in its 3rd year.

Sir Garfield Sobers International School’s Cricket Tournament
Named after the Barbadian cricketer and National Hero Sir Garry Sobers, this annual tournament attracts school teams under nineteen years of age to compete with their local, regional and international counterparts. The tournament is based on 40-over matches.
Since the year 1986 the Sir Garfield Sobers International Schools Cricket Tournament has given school boys the rare opportunity of playing in an international tournament. To date this tournament that has groomed the likes of retired West Indies captain, Brian Lara, Darren Ganga, Roland Holder, and several English and South African test match players.”

Crop Over Festival Grand Kadooment
Grand Kadooment Day celebrates the end of Crop Over, where Masquerade Bands make their way to Spring Garden highway with revelers dressed in sequin costumes decorated with colorful feathers, jewels and bright accents.

Barbados Ninja Throwdown is a local sports entertainment competition that features some obstacles that are seen on the show, “American Ninja Warrior”, with a local twist to them.

The Barbados Dive Festival is a collection of weeklong activities, centred around various levels of diving within the marine environment.
Activities range from snorkelling, scuba diving, deep sea diving, conservation activities, and much more.

The OMISC is a three-day festival which includes daily free skateboard clinics for children.
It features professional skateboarders, the best skateboard contest in the region along with entertainment by local musicians and artists.
This is a regional circuit racing event which draws competitors and spectators from the Caribbean inclduing Jamaica, Suriname, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago and of course Barbados to mention a few.

This is a cycling event which takes riders across Barbados via 3 circuits during 3 consecutive days of riding. Circuit 1 is in Warrens while Circuit 2 is at Bushy Park. Circuit 3 runs end to end of the island.

Run Barbados Marathon Weekend
Run Barbados is the largest marathon in the Caribbean. The prestigious Run Barbados Marathon has evolved into one of Barbados’ premier sporting activities on the island known for its festive atmosphere and spirit of camaraderie.
The Run Barbados unique route takes participants on a scenic journey through some of Barbados’ most historical landmarks. The choice of races around the world is endless but the Run Barbados Marathon Weekend has distinguishing characteristics that can provide the experience of a lifetime.
Rugby World 7s Tournament
The Rugby Barbados World 7s is the latest edition of the longest running Club Rugby Sevens tournament in the Caribbean.
Previously known as the Tobago 7s, the event has its roots in Trinidad, where it started over 30 years ago. The teams that have attended the tournament in the past include multiple winners Border Reivers (Scotland), Atlantis (USA), Rugby West Indies (Caribbean), Howlers (Canada), Rugby Ecosse (Scotland), and Arongatahi (New Zealand).
The tournament moved to Barbados in December 2016. Come for the Run, Stay for the Rum, and Revel in the Rugby!
