Amharcfaidh an clár fosta ar an tionchar a bhí ag a chúlra Éireannach ar an saothar is mó cáil, Dracula, atá go fóill ar dhuine de na carachtair is aitheanta i litríocht an domhain. Is beag eolais atá ag daoine faoi Bram Stoker in ainneoin na spéise atá ag daoine ar fud an domhain i nDracula agus faoi údar an scéil.

‘Bram Stoker agus Dracula’ looks at the fascinating life story of Dublin born Bram Stoker, and the extent to which his Irish background had an influence on the creation of Dracula, his best known work, and one of the most recognisable characters in world literature. MON 28th OCT • 7pm

Tickets: £5 at derryhalloween.com/tickets

Arna léiriú ag Jim Sheridan, a bhfuil sé ainmniúchán Oscar faighte aige, agus arna stiúradh ag John Farrelly a bhfuil gradaim bainte aige, tá An Taibhse ar an chéad scannán uafáis Gaeilge a rinneadh riamh. Is scéal scanrúil é suite i ré mhíshona Ghorta Mór na hÉireann. Tosaíonn Éamon agus a iníon Máire ar ról suaimhneach mar airíoch i dteach mór iargúlta le linn mhíonna crua an gheimhridh. Ach scaoileann a dtasc suaimhneach tromluí ar mhéid osnádúrtha istigh i mballaí an tí mhóir, ag corraí rúin dhorcha ón am a chuaigh thart.

Produced by six-time Oscar nominee Jim Sheridan and directed by award-winning John Farrelly, An Taibhse is the first Irish Language Horror film ever made. A bonechilling tale set against the haunting backdrop of Ireland’s infamous famine era. 1852: Éamon and daughter Máire embark on a tranquil caretaker role at an isolated mansion during the unforgiving winter months. But their peaceful assignment unleashes a nightmare of supernatural proportions as a malevolent force awakens within the mansion’s walls, stirring dark secrets from the past.
