If only the Walls could talk, what would they say? For three nights, the spirits arise to join the Awakening the Walled City Trail, a magical journey through the City of Bones where you will encounter the weird and the wonderful characters who bring Halloween to life. Embark on a spine-chilling journey through the city’s cobbled streets, as you explore the many creepily captivating installations set to transform Derry into the City of Bones.

Peer into the haunted halls of Austins, where the spirits of Derry’s historic figures have taken refuge. These spectral beings wander the vacant building, mourning its former glory and reflecting on their past lives. During Samhain, the veil between the worlds thins, transforming their ghostly forms back into flesh. Free from their ethereal prison, they roam the city, sharing tales of Derry’s rich history and their own long-forgotten lives.

The Courthouse cells confine not historic figures, but creatures of myth and legend. This Halloween, the spirit of the ‘Blue Guardian’ will escape from the old Glendermott Road workhouse, searching for the children she once cared for. Together, they’ll gather behind the ‘Blue Guardian’ on the Peace Bridge in a haunting display. These eerie performances, inspired by local folklore, will awaken Ebrington, celebrating imagination and the Waterside community’s creative spirit.
