for you, Greenville has a wide range of terrific playgrounds that’ll have your little ones dreaming sweet dreams.

The Children’s Garden

A magical spot just a short walk from Unity Park, the Children’s Garden at Linky Stone Park is one of Greenville’s hidden gems, tucked under the overpass of Academy Street. Imaginations will run wild in this scenic storybook-inspired setting that spans almost two acres and invites kiddos to use all five senses.

Herdklotz Park

Known as the “castle park” to locals, it’s easy to see why the wooden castlestyle play structure is a favorite for kids of all ages. With views of both the downtown Greenville skyline and the peak of Paris Mountain, you can take in the views, spread out at one of the picnic tables, and enjoy the day.

Unity Park Playgrounds & Splash Pad

Just steps from the heart of downtown Greenville, kids can swing, slide, run, climb, and splash from dawn ‘til dusk at Unity Park, conveniently located right alongside the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail. Kids of every age (that means you too, mom!) may find themselves climbing into forts and dipping more than a toe in the playful geysers of water bursting forth from the splash pad.

Kids Planet

If you’ve got adventuresome kids, then you’ve got to head to Kids Planet at Century Park in Greer. Designed with multiple play areas for different age groups and interests, this park is an adventure seeker’s delight with a castle, ziplines, rope bridge, and numerous play structures that will entertain your kids for hours. And when it’s snack time (as it always seems to be), head to the front of the park to choose from 60+ flavors of shave ice at Sno Hut.

Runway Park

Enjoy watching aircraft take off and land while playing at this aviation-themed park at Greenville Downtown Airport (GMU). Enter through a 15-foot cross-section of a Boeing 737 fuselage and find playgrounds, swings, the Biplane Climber, a picnic hangar, a Cessna 310 display, and a runway perfect for running on while watching real planes land and take-off. For bigger kids, there’s Takeoff Mini Golf, right next door, where you can “take off” on Hole 1 and land back on the runway for Hole 18. And if you get hungry? Runway Cafe is ready to refuel you and the whole fam. Try the $100 Hamburger or the Top Gun!
