ISLAND FOOD & DRINK There are friendly pubs, many with log fires, in towns and villages all over the Island, all of them offering wholesome food and a relaxing drink. Photo: The Garlic Farm

ISLAND FOOD & DRINK

It’s hard to beat the taste and comfort of food and a drink in one of the Island’s pubs and restaurants.

The Island has an amazing range of places to eat, whether you want a la carte dining, or home cooked food in a high street café. You can eat right next to the beach at Ventnor, or in a stylish wine bar in Ryde, for example. But wherever you go, you’ll find local produce – seafood straight from the fishing boat, local cheese, ice cream, meat direct from an Island farm, locally brewed beer … there are many ways the Island will tempt you! There are culinary treats in store all year round, and you can enjoy the full flavour of local fruit, fish, meat, bread, vegetables and dairy products knowing that it has not had too far to travel before it reaches your plate. Fresh air and fresh food it’s all part of the Island experience!
