THE IDEAL CITY FOR

MEDICAL

MEETINGS Knoxville will surprise you.

“THCA is planning our second convention and trade show to be held at the Knoxville Convention Center. The group of people at the Convention and Visitors Bureau are simply the best! They get back to you right away, connect you with the people who can help in any situation, and are flexible. What more can you ask for? We love the wonderful mix of ‘old’ and ‘new’ in Knoxville. It is an energetic and modern city with the university population right there and yet there is a strong sense of history and local pride. We saw it all during our FAM trip last year and it really sold us on the city.” Meg Collins Director of Membership Services, TN Health Care Association

For the meeting planner seeking a destination that will deliver “wow, I had no idea” experiences, Knoxville offers a surprisingly real, truly accessible and unexpectedly sophisticated mix of culture, adventure and cuisine rooted in history and genuine Southern hospitality. Knoxville is home to a number of festivals, loads of live music, fantastic civil war sites and historic homes, a world-class zoo, highly acclaimed museums and a unique Urban Wilderness that offers 1,000 acres of outdoor adventure within the city limits. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is located just 45 minutes away. Knoxville also boasts a very engaged healthcare community. The city is home to the region’s only academic medical center and a number of internationally known healthcare facilities, including The Provision Center for Proton Therapy. The Visit Knoxville Sales Team is anxious to assist you in planning your next conference, meeting or reunion. We work with planners from a variety of industries and organizations.
