Kotka City Theatre

What could be a more elegant way to enjoy Kotka’s culture than an evening at the theatre? Immerse yourself in the skilful storytelling of a professional theatre over one hundred years old, in the premises of the former conservancy building in the centre of Kotka. The Kotka City Theatre offers 6-7 premieres every year on the Main stage, the Naapuri stage or in the Restaurant Kairo. Walk to your evening at the theatre along Kotka’s sculpture promenade, and you will find the Olavi Mantere sculpture, Ovid’s Dance, in the front of the theatre.

The Kymi Sinfonietta

Kymi Sinfonietta’s widely praised repertoire and concerts are played at a high level and with top Finnish and international artists. The unique Kymi Sinfonietta, one of Finland’s leading orchestras, was born when the city orchestras of Kotka and Kouvola merged in 1999. Come and enjoy the sweet tunes of professional musicians in an atmospheric seaside town.

The Bonga Castle

Visit the exciting and unique Bonga Castle in the middle of Loviisa. The over one hundred-year-old patrician castle hides professor and artist Riitta Nelimarkka’s studio spaces and an exhibition gallery. The gallery consists of more than two hundred works by Nelimarkka, some of which are for sale. The fun colours continue in the studio spaces, which are also open to visitors by appointment. A must-see on Loviisa’s gallery tour!
