Cambridge Junction Historic State
Park / Walker Tavern – Irish Hills The tavern was built around 1832. Stagecoach passengers stopped here for lodging and food as they traveled between Detroit and Chicago.
Croswell Opera House – Adrian
In existence since 1866, the historic Croswell Opera House is the oldest theater in Michigan and one of the oldest continuously operating theaters in the United States.
First Presbyterian Church of Blissfield – Blissfield
The church itself dates back to 1829, it is one of the oldest Presbyterian churches in the State and the oldest church in Blissfield.
Lenawee County Historical Society – Adrian
The archives offer thousands of documents relating to business, government, religion, education, transportation, the military, prominent citizens, and many other subjects of local interest.
Musgrove Evans House – Tecumseh
Built in 1826, this house is the oldest residential house in the county and among the oldest in the State.
Saint Joseph’s Church and Shrine – Irish Hills.
The church traces its origins to its founding as a missionary church in 1854 by the area’s earliest Irish settlers. It was designated as a Michigan Historic Site in 1990 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.
William G. Thompson House Museum & Gardens – Hudson
This regal, Queen Anne-style house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
