€ 1 Million Budget The Malta Tourism Authority is committed to supporting English Language Students staying for a minimum of 15 nights to a maximum of 30 nights in the Maltese Islands. This scheme forms part of the Malta Tourism Authority‘s recovery measures specifically targeting Educational Tourism.

Commercial Bars 01. Introduction The scheme seeks to incentivise English Language Students applying for courses in licenced English Language Schools teaching English Language in the Maltese Islands necessitating a physical presence of a duration of minimum of 15 nights capped at a maximum of 30 nights. 1.1. Duration of the Scheme The scheme to commence on 1st June 2021 applicable for students commencing their English language courses as from 1st June 2021 until the funds have been fully allocated. Applications for this scheme will be received as from Monday 10th May 2021. 1.2. Designated Authority This scheme is administered by the Malta Tourism Authority. 1.3. Budget This scheme has a budget of € 1,000,000

02. Terms and Conditions 2.1. Proof of booking shall be provided by the English Language School to the Malta Tourism Authority, which in turn will send vouchers to the English Language School for forwarding to the student. Scheme is on a first come first served basis. 2.2. The support of €10 (incl.vat) worth of vouchers per student per day will be given subject to a minimum stay of 15 nights capped at 30 nights subject that licenced school confirms student’s participation and attendance in declared course. 2.3. The support value will be redeemable from all participating outlets in Malta & Gozo accepting Government vouchers. Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash but only against receipt of goods and services. 2.4. The support scheme will be managed by the Malta Tourism Authority. 2.5. The above scheme is independent from any other support provided by the Malta Tourism Authority throughout the year 2021. 2.6 There will be no cash refunds on any unutilised vouchers.

03. Application Stage 3.1 Licenced English Language schools need to submit their applications on: bit.ly/eltscheme 3.2 Applications are to include the following: i) Copy of Airline Booking showing dates of arrival and departure. ii) Course detail and duration iii) Contact details of individual students including Name and Surname, Passport/ID number, Telephone/Mobile Number, Email Address together with a duly signed consent form authorising MTA to receive, store and use details solely for the purpose of the scheme in question. 3.3 MTA will process the applications received and once approved vouchers will be sent directly to the individual language student through the language school.

04. Monitoring The Malta Tourism Authority reserves the right to request proof of stay and any other documentation pertaining to this scheme for necessary Audit exercises. Licenced English Language Schools shall be held liable for any infringements and MTA will reserve the right to protect its interests as deemed necessary.
