AD ON RO CABART
HAVE A BLAST IN yellow pine HIGHLAND GAMES | JUNE 29 @ 10AM The Bald Mountain Knuckle Draggers return to Yellow Pine for the Highland Games. In their original form many centuries ago, Highland Games revolved around athletic and sports competitions. Though other activities were always a part of the festivities, many today still consider Highland athletics to be what the games are all about — in short, that the athletics are the Games, and all the other activities are just entertainment. Regardless, it remains true today that the athletic competitions are at least an integral part of the events and one — the caber toss — has come to almost symbolize the Highland games. VILLAGE YARD SALE | JULY 3 @ 9AM - NOON One day only! Find great stuff at great prices! INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE | JULY 4 @ 2PM Be a part of the parade or be a part of the audience! All family-friendly entries are welcome. If you want to participate, meet at the Fire House at 1:30pm. If you need decorations for your pet, bike, ATV, trailer, car, whatever, they will be available near the Fire House at noon. YELLOW PINE FIREWORKS SHOW | JULY 4 @ DUSK Bring your chair and join us for great fireworks with your friends. BREAKFAST AT THE SCHOOLHOUSE MUSEUM | JULY 6 @ 8AM - 11AM A hearty breakfast for all! Just $6 21ST ANNUAL YELLOW PINE GOLF TOURNAMENT | JULY 1 @ 11AM The Golf Tournament will be a “Cannon Start” scramble of two person teams. One club plus a putter. Clubs balls and tees will be available. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 Men’s team, Women’s team and Mixed team. There will also be an award for the closest to the pin on the first hole. Entry fees are $20 per person which includes 1 ticket for beer; additional tickets are $3. Soda and Water are free. Sponsor a hole for $50 which includes play for two plus a plaque on the hole of your choice. Come join us for a fun outing on the Yellow Pine Golf Course “where the Fairways ain’t Fair and the Greens ain’t Green!”
