Founded in 2004, the Norfolk Tourism Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization that functions as an agency to VisitNorfolk. Our mission is to support a robust city-wide tourism industry through workforce development, education and research. The Foundation is funded by donations and gifts from individuals and companies who support the tourism industry in our community. These donations allow us to award scholarships and grants.

If you are what you eat, then Norfolk’s pretty darn amazing. With more independently owned restaurants per capita than almost any city in the U.S. and a walkable waterfront downtown with countless attractions, festivals, and experiences to work up an appetite, a great time is always on the menu. So pack your sense of discovery, and your appetite, and give Norfolk a try.

WE AGREE
The best results come from passionate leaders working together to create a vibrant future for our city.
“The City of Norfolk is extremely fortunate and should be proud of its robust visitor economy. This is something we should not take for granted, but instead something that we should strive to nurture and grow. VisitNorfolk is uniquely positioned to take this aspect of our economy to the next level with the proper level of focus and funding. My hope is that we will equip VisitNorfolk to do so!”
