FIRST ANNUAL SOUTH DAKOTA PEACH FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES LIVE CONCERT LINE-UP A portion of the Sioux Falls festival’s proceeds to benefit Special Olympics South Dakota

The Fruit Club, along with Special Olympics South Dakota, invite the community and those across the three-state region to attend the first annual South Dakota Peach Festival.
WHAT:
The South Dakota Peach Festival is two fun-filled days of live music, activities, vendors and delicious foods. Festival-goers will enjoy peaches from the Georgia orchards and eat their way through the weekend tasting all things peach including pies, jams, cobbler, ice cream and specialty beer as well as traditional festival foods and drinks. Based on past peach sales by The Fruit Club, estimated attendance at this event will be from 10,000 – 15,000 festival-goers. A portion of the proceeds from the festival’s peach sales will benefit Special Olympics South Dakota’s Building Unity campaign – as part of the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce’s Community Appeals Drive. Admission for the festival is free to all.

BACKGROUND: The Fruit Club was founded in May 2013 on the premise of bringing healthy quality fresh fruit directly from orchards across the country to local customers once a month. The Fruit Club has grown from selling one box of cherries in June 2013 to having over 20,000 registered customers located in South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, and Minnesota. Festival-goers are encouraged to reserve their box(es) of peaches prior to the event to ensure appropriate quantities and a guaranteed order. Attendees may reserve them online at www.thefruitclub.net.
