Its proximity to Lisbon and other urban centers make it an excellent choice destination for a relaxing holiday. Wine & Food Tasting The West is one of the largest wine regions in Portugal and the world. You will be able to find dozens of wine farms, be in touch with the large vineyard sceneries and do some wine tasting or even try a harvest experience. The food events are quite common in this area of the country and we point out some of the region products such as Lourinha’s Aguardente DOC, a fine spirit, Rocha type pears, Alcobaça’s apple or Alfeizerão’s typical sponge cake. The tradition of coventry pastry is a reference that dates back from the foundation of the kingdom and comes to the present. The fish and seafood special dishes make true delicacies.
The Sea The stretch of fine white sand beaches make the West an excellent beach destination at the same time that it allows for the practice of water sports such as surf, windsurf, bodyboard... As regards surf the West already hosts some of the main world championship events and the tourism around surf has been naturally developing fast. We highlight the record of the world’s biggest (30 metres high) wave surfed at Praia do Norte in Nazaré. Surf schools and all the related practice facilities have quality standards that bring excellence to the West as a surf destination. Health and Well Being The sea water with its recognized benefitial health features gathered in a talassotherapy centre located right in the beach sand make it a perfect spot to balance your body and regain energy. The West, which has some treatment centres, is also known for its thermal qualities. DAY 1 On arrival To Lisbon, you will be assisted by the private guide who will accompany the entire tour from the arrival to the departure airport. Several unique dinosaur species in the world were discovered in Lourinhã, so you will be able to find some of their traces here. Field trip in search of dino-

Visit to DOC - Adega Cooperativa da Lourinhã (winemaking cooperative), one of the three brandy demarcated regions in Europe, where you will be able to taste this high quality beverage.
