t’s been a long time coming for residents and businesses along the Route 123/Old Meadow Road area of McLean/Tysons, but road work related to Phase 1 of the Silver Line’s McLean Station is wrapping up.

Crews have been working for several years to make improvements to the Old Meadow Road intersection that realign it perfectly with the entrance to the Capital One complex. Finishing touches to the roadway and traffic signalization are just about done, according to Silver Line project officials.
The completion comes just months ahead of the opening of the Capital One Center, a 1,600-seat performing arts center that will feature local theater and world-class concert artists. Partners in this project are ArtsFairfax and AMS Global.

Residents of the area have experienced traffic impacts while this work and other new construction continues in this area. Project officials say they thank the residents for their patience over the years. The realignment was complicated by multi-
