Deep in the forest lived Rabbit in a house,
and his friends were Beaver, Pig, Sheep and Mouse.
The rainy season’s here! The sky has turned grey. Poor little Rabbit was having a bad day.
There’s a leak in his roof, everything was wet. His clothes, his bed... Rabbit was quite upset.
When Pig found out, he came in a rush,
to lend Rabbit some clothes, and a toothbrush.
When Sheep found out, she brought something to eat, and a snuggly, wuggly, warm bed sheet.
When Beaver found out, he came without delay. An umbrella for Rabbit, to keep the rain away.
All his friends’ help filled Rabbit with delight. But even then, he still can’t sleep at night.
Then came Mouse with a big surprise.
A giant mushroom! Rabbit couldn’t believe his eyes.
They helped fix the mushroom on the roof. Finally! His house is now waterproof.
With the rainy season gone, the flowers turned pink.
The sun came out and the mushroom started to shrink.
Rabbit was shocked, he said, “That simply won’t do!” He took down the mushroom and made it into stew.
He invited all his friends over for a meal.
But the hole in the roof was still a big deal.
Sheep asked, “How are we to fix this hole?”
“We should work together, we’ll each have a role.”
Pig brought mud, Sheep brought hay.
Beaver brought twigs and they hammered away.
When the work was done, Rabbit looked at his friends, and knew this was proof that friendship never ends.
The End
Rabbit’s house has a leak at the worst time possible! All the rain is dripping inside and everything is wet. What will Rabbit and his friends do to fix this problem?
